I've been asking people I know about chords, notes, and keys, and how a 'nobody in music' could interpret and/or understand them. Somehow, I always end up in the middle of a word salad, even more confused than before. Thank you for an excellent introduction to 'music', in general! Absolutely loved it! As part of my 'getting into music' thing, I 3D printed an ocarina off a file I found on Thingiverse, a few months ago. It turned out absolutely horrible, but hey, there's a first for everything!

Good video for beginners. My favorite ocarina keys are AB and ABb. Songs in E and much easier to play on a B and Eb is difficult unless you have a Bb.

The question i have (i know nothing of music theory) is this; in the examples, you played one scale in the key of the respective ocarina, but what happens when you play the last 3 upper notes (omited in the examples)? those next 3 higher notes are part of the next upper key? meaning if you play the 3 highest notes on a c ocarina they figure like the first lower notes in a f ocarina?? because i have one in f and i notice many, many times (playing by ear) that i'm in the middle of, meaning i either will need more lower notes than what my ocarina provides or i lack higher notes later on XD helllp!! TT__TT Also, i wanted to thank you because finally i can understand the "key" thingies meaning, i noticed that little parts of the piano repeated higher and higher and i suspected what you explained here, but knowing your explanation makes everything much clearer, thank you so much!

Running out of notes is a real pain... There are double and triple ocarina extending the range out to three octaves. STL's plastic triple is fabulous. Don't think it's a toy just because it's plastic, there are lots of good examples of it jammin'.

Hello, I am new to ocarina but I have music knowledge. I'd like to ask you, if I wanted to play "the chauffeur" by Duran Duran, which is in E minor, what kind of key ocarina should I buy? Should I go for a G?Thanks in advance

I have a question, on an alto c tenor 12 hole ocarina, the first C you play is that a C4 on the piano scale I guess or as they call it middle C? I'm trying to interpret tuner apps so I can play them but they have a lot of different options
