So...why are some of us getting routed right back to a password for the comand prompt page? When I initially hit start..my computer comes up an odd screan...black w a blue fill in password...( my computer was bought second hand..it was hacked..I did a reset) Input in my OLD password before being hacked..windows starts up...THEN it again asks for a password....which will accept nothing I come up with.I went in and changed the 1ST password..I can do that..ehats up w this 2nd password request? The hackers password?

Insert usb with a windows in it and then shift+restart select dvd or flash drive then pres removable device and u will hop on to windows instalation page click next and then repair my computer and troubleshoot advanced options and comand promt

what do i do if i made it all the way thru up until it asks 2 make a new password so i make one and reenter the pass i jus made but then it gives me DNS server not authoritative for zone. and then under that it says the c:\windows\systerm32>net user then type pass and retype pass to confirm ..then it says "system error 8646 has occurred." under that it says "system is not authoritative for the specified account and therefore cannot complete the operation. if admin pass is set, ur TSOL! there is no getting around it to set any password. and in that case, this will never work.

The command prompt is asking for the password! Doesn't work if the account is Admin. Do you really think that Microsoft would make this so easy for hackers? LOL

You'd be surprised how easy it is to break into admin accounts or any account for that matter. I can break into windows profiles in about 5 minutes depending on how fast your computer restarts. So yes. MS makes it VERY easy. This method might not work, but using a bootable USB works 500% of the time.

@@kitrodriguez992 sure - that is providing that the BIOS supports the USB boot and that you manage to change the boot sequence. Not all computers allow that - so your 500% confidence is just useless brag! Besides the new version of Windows 11 is just a nightmare to work with and I will never even use it!
