GINGER BEER | GEMERE RECIPE SOUTH AFRICA

In this video I show you how to make this traditional ginger beer. In South Africa Ginger beer is mostly enjoyed over Christmas holidays.
Ingredients:
6 litres of water
any flavoured concentrated drink, sweetened (that can be diluted)
creme of tartar 12g
tartaric acid 12g x2
pure ground ginger 50g x4
brown sugar 2kg

After pouring it a container of your choice, you need to leave it overnight in the fridge or any area in the house with cool temperature. 👌

I have made it without cream of tartar and tasted the same, except it wasn't as sour as I wanted it to be . Cream of tartar is specifically to give it the sour taste ,but tartaric acid does the trick too...
