My kids love the gingerbread theme. I found foam gingerbread men. We are going to decorate them and put them and put them on a craft stick and put on a puppet show.

Jean Shimpeno - I love that idea and might borrow it. We introduced our puppet theater a few weeks ago and they had fun with it!

Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds My puppet theater turns into different things each week. Bakery, store, barbershop, flower shop etc. I just add a colorful sign with some pictures on it and add some props. Kids look forward to seeing what it will be from week to week. We use puppets every day. They are great for introducing new items in the room. For Christmas I get a color plastic bulb. I paint the child’s hand white. I put the bulb in the child’s hand and transfer the hand print onto the bulb. I decorate the fingers into snowman. With a paint pen I add the child’s name and date. This makes a wonderful gift and the parents love them. The kids also make foam penguins. We add the child’s face instead of a penguin face and add a ribbon to hang it. The penguin is on a round circle as a back drop and the kids add thumb prints for snow. Inexpensive to make.
