Brilliant vid,i used to go throo to whitburn during the summer holidays from the 1970s till the 80s for the gala day & stay with my aunty Joan & uncle Joe & my cousins,great times we had playing down at the burn when it was nice & clean before the new build houses came along,great memories thanks for the video 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Peter is my mum ( Rita Knox ) best friend and adopted brother. Been a part of our family for years. I can’t wait to show him this. He will be so happy. He wasn’t pissed he’s just like that all the time. Thank you Gingerman you don’t know how much this will mean to him. He’s always wanted to be on the internet lol. I remember Peter back in the late 70,s early 80,s going tae the Green Tree in Bathgate. Always a cheery guy, great tae see him still so happy.😅

Heyo man! I really feel like you should make a return to Coaltown of Balgonie. There's been alot going on throughout 2023 to right now. There's even being houses built next to the Primary School which I find ok at best, not really a village when you're turning it into a town! (guess that would mean it's coal village???) Haha! Enjoy your journeys.

When you got to blabberhill road at 30.37 turn right take you down to blabberhill traffic lights then left to town centre, that path is new

Swimming pool burnt down in 2000s same as Miners welfare which was just after west end fryer on your left walking up after 14.43 ( videos are online and KZbin )

I live in whitburn at glebe Road which is the only reason I'm watching this 8:31 that park is near my mums house. If you had turned left at bowling green road before crossing over then you would have came up to glebe Road

Burn is white burn, at Aldi or Lidl turn right to town centre, it's in middle of whitburn

At 14.20 the library and museum is within council building at whitburn cross now as Whitburn council offices were turned into partnership centre so if you goto whitburn cross roads and into the whitburn partnership centre the library and museum are in there now, the old library and museum is behind me and has been sold.

There a bit of a problem, where your walking from is East Whitburn, after Bridgend on your left of camera there is a sign saying welcome to whitburn then probably another 2 signs after that saying the same, the proper sign is on the lamp post further ahead as walking towards hillcroft hotel has welcome to Whitburn on it. It's very confusing but council have been asked to make clear the boundary between east whitburn and whitburn.

That building you went past going to Whitburn west end after fire station on your right which is now a glazing factory up from the army cadets was Levi's .

Town clock is and council building is in between 13 and 14 mins and when you say masonic lodge ( yes it is ) it's 927 lodge polkemmet on grand lodge if Scotland role

I was wondering if anyone can tell me where the yellow and red small building and empty carpark space is you can see at 23.40 minutes into the video. I find that looking from the air is a little strange. I struggle to recognise the area.
