Thanks for the video... I was going to go with the range extender but chose a different option, waiting on my new battery to arrive . You shouldn't need to order any special connections for the main plug, all you need is a xt60 splitter connector, so if you order a battery from another company that's all you need you don't have to do anything extra to the main plugs all you do is plug in a splitter to one of the connectors and then you connect to batteries with splitter it's all discharge connections, so all that really matters is that you're using xt60 parallel connectors... This is tempting, but I’ve got almost enough for the powerful lithium 60AH battery so I think I’m getting that. Finally got my pro fixed, then I broke the signal switch at the harness, so I’ve got some soldering to do.

Yes, that's correct. Once you connect them in parallel they become one battery. You only need to use one charge port, or if it makes you feel more comfortable you can get a XLR splitter and plug in both charge ports charging at the same time, either way you're charging them both at the same time they are connected together in parallel. You can connect six batteries in parallel and use one charge port

Voro motors tech support confirmed with me that as long as the extender is plugged into the main battery that it will charge together if charging through the extenders port

I have not yet. I have made zero videos for about 6 months. But I'm slowly getting ramped up to start again and this range test is near the top of my list. If my past experience tells me anything, it'll be that you can exactly double your current RR pro range at modest speed and potentially more than double your high speed range because the voltage sag won't be as extreme with a larger pack, causing the low voltage cutoff to come later in the ride than it normally would.

Yes, you wanna test voltage before connecting to make sure they're within 1 volt of each other. Preferably less than a volt

Hey ginger on wheels , I’ve been thinking about how an electric scooter could really help with getting to school and my other activities. It would save me a lot of time, and I wouldn’t have to rely as much on rides or public transport. Plus, it’s an eco-friendly option, and I’d always make sure to stay safe with a helmet and follow the rules. I believe having one would help me be more independent and responsible. you should be able to just charge it with 1 charger.. since its in parallel, you just plug into the main charger and it will charge both. What you should of done is use a voltage meter check what your existing battery was first then check the extender. Shouldn't of plugged that in and charge like you did, because you didn't know what both voltages were...

It don't work like that he would then need a splitter for the charger too be able to do that they discharge in parallel but not charge that way

@@Motorizedstuff I've been told by my battery maker.. and that how i do it.. when you have it in parallel, the BMs with charge and discharge as 1.. so you plug the main charger and charge both batteries

If you want to check the batteries voltages and don’t have a volt meter just turn on the scooter with only 1 battery plugged into the new cable. Alternate batteries and now you’ll know what both batteries volts are at.

Can you do a range test video with the battery extender on the Roadrunner Pro? I'm waiting for mine to arrive. I'm 170 lbs, and my best guesstimate so far riding my rrp for 300 miles now with upgraded shocks and tires is an average of 1 mile per amp hour of battery in dual motor. So I'm guessing I will get around 50 miles when my extender arrives.. I would love to see you do a range test with yours and being about 50 lb heavier than me, I'm curious what you're going to get. I've had a Zero 10X for nearly five years and really want to upgrade to a Kaabo GTR or Inmotion RS Midnight, but I'm scared because of our archaic and stupid laws here in the UK. Electric scooters are illegal to ride in public, and if you get stopped by the oinks and they decide to be as*holes and confiscate it, you basically have no chance of getting it back. The only way you will get it back is if you have it insured, which you cannot do because they are illegal-catch 22 much? On top of that, you will get fined around £1000 and have 6 points added to your license (which can be more than if you commit vehicular manslaughter). The worst thing is, as stated, you will be unable to get back your possibly new £4000 hyper scooter, which they will decide to crush. UK laws regarding electric scooters are stupid, though there is hope in a possible law change making them legal... BUT they will be nerfing the power, possibly limiting them to 15 mph. So much for greener, fossil fuel-free transport...screw you UK law makers.

I'm confused. If one battery has a higher capacity than the other, then why does it matter if they're charged both to full? Wouldn't one battery run out before the other?

You know what that Apex external battery is probably high-end enough to have active cell balancing on the BMS. So It probably wouldn't matter if they're both charged at the same time, or equally. I would probably still do it though just to be on the stupid safe side. Even one of those batteries is big enough to burn your house down ♨️

Battery 🪫 sag sucks on this E-Bike It's not for long distance sadly I'm going to end up selling mine I'm going to get a gas mini bike instead so I can keep up with my friends I got stranded and I had to charge it at this park for about 40 minutes to an hour just to make it back home but it it's good to cruise around the neighborhood or to just get to work. And if you try to maintain 30 to 50 mph you will not go that far in distance and getting a $900 extended pack battery from the company would just make the bike even heavier but the distance will probably be there but I still wouldn't trust it. Honest review and on this experience this thing is cool looking and that's the only thing that sucks about it battery sag. What's the point of this bike hitting 40 to 50 mph if the battery drains pretty quick and takes forever to charge back up and I hate being stranded it's not fun pushing this thing home.

@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 If you dont know what voltage each battery is at then charge them both fully, but DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY TO Eachother yet, charge them SEPERATLY... once BOTH are fully charged, then you plug the splitters together..... Because both Voltages need to be the exact same before you parallel them..
