She's so natural and fluent in every interview. Her speaking voice is more interesting and more beautiful than most artists' singing voice. She is so sweet and beautiful pregnant. Only love for Whitney ❤❤

Whitney, in my heart and mind, is in the same class and sophisticated circles of ladies such as Phylicia Rashad and Coretta Scott King. That may seem random, but I always felt that for years :)

She was beautiful pregnant and regardless of what people think, that woman loved Bobby Brown and we cant blame her for that. We have all been in love with someone that wasn't right for us at one point in time.

What I believe for me I don’t like how she was treated a very humbled person she said herself she made some wrong turns on her own she tried I feel for her I can’t stop watching videos , the interviews America is not kind to blacks they want them to fail , they use them but God knew best he could have allowed her to live no devil in hell could have stopped him but he called her home Rest In Peace my dear people around that night did not treat her right as for her conniving sister in- law her time coming and all who used her for personal gain.

I've never understood the stupid fake criticism from the media about Whitney Houston losing her black base in the late 80s or "sounding too white". The entire duration of the height of her success (1985 - 1994, as well as throughout the late 90s), her records pretty much always were well received on black radio and did extremely well on the R&B Charts. There's no other way to measure any sort of "weakness" in Houston's black base than that! The media tried so hard at the time to find SOME reason to halt Whitney's success.
@TotalTennisGeek
@TotalTennisGeek 5 жыл бұрын
Black radio and media made those criticisms. I was alive then. She also was booed at the Soul Train Music awards. She would admit in multiple later interviews that it really hurt her. She had so much in common with Lena Horne in that way. They both struggled to get Black people to love them and accept them.

Well that’s because her 2nd did make a crazy turn from the soul of “Saving All My Love For You to the straight up pop feel of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”

@@TotalTennisGeek I agree, I wasn't a Whitney fan back in the day but she was big enough for a non-fan to know about the backlash she received. If I'm correct she made I'm Your Baby Tonight to appease her people.

@@ikexbankai 🙄 So boo her? Humiliate her? Make jokes about how some Black people thought she had no rhythm? Make fun of her on Black radio? Black people have a fucked up sense of justice for something so small in the grand scheme of what she accomplished, FOR THE COMMUNITY. You've actually just supported my point.

Girl you shoulda ran for the hills and divorced him two years later. I think in addition, she felt like time wasn't on her side.She mentioned on The Arsenio Hall show that she was pushing 30 and that was one of her reasons why she was wanting to get married. But think about Bobby- he was only 23 and to me that's really young for a man to want to settle down so it was like not a shock that he wasn't faithful, especially with his romantic track record. The worst thing was that he was abusive physically towards her- hitting her, spitting on her doing weird stuff like spray painting evil eyes on the wall, etc. She did not have to put up with that... She chose to. She deserved so much more.

Whitney was wrong but I love her. Part of Bobby Brown marrying her was for an image, Whitney was THE hugest star in the world at this point and he thought if he gets married to someone as big as Whitney he can start appeasing and making money off people from all demographics. Whitney did love him though, she never needed him to make her more popular or more loved from black audiences.

Bobby brown was very young and he was clearly not ready for marriage at 23, he had many patterns of fathering children and not being committed, he was truly her biggest mistake and she could have been loved so much better by a whole man. GOD REST HER SOUL, the best vocalist of all time. ❤
