I can imagine that Neneko's second Prism is actually development on Aloe's part. As a baby she saw someone who was bright, colorful and fun to be with, but as she grew older she knew that Neneko was more complex than that. Someone who was scared to make a connection and the highlight of that was when they broke up with Kat and Aloe said, "This Prism will work better for you." Aloe probably saw the opposite with Kat, someone who wants to make that connection with other people. Which is why her Prism adds colors and is white and Neneko's is black because they refuse to add and you can't see colors in black. As for why Neneko would bother with their second Prism at all.....maybe the better suited Prism you have, the longer you can use it. Like Neneko's first Prism works for about an hour, maybe less, but her new Prism works WAY longer. I'm just throwing things at wall at this point.

Omg, I know in the last sketchbook video there were jokes about how Aloe had a bad impression of Kat (read one that was her falling down the stairs flat on her face) but this idea would be interesting, that Aloe sees Kat as needing friends so makes a prism to help her make connections to others. Can't wait to so what June does, so far the story is really fun to hear and learn about. Even making theories and then all of them getting thrown out for this amazing stuff!

I think 4koma comics and KZbin shorts can be a fun way to show off these characters in the meantime, but I think the best thing to do for a larger project is a one-shot comic, which would basically be the comic equivalent to a pilot episode. You could make it a free to read web comic or have it be something people can buy from the kerch store for extra funding for future projects. You could even have a whole team for future comics if you liked making the oneshot and want to expand the story

Your detail with blindness being a spectrum ironically made me feel seen, thank you for including it! I'm legally blind and have often had a hard time finding media that makes a character with blindness still have agency without completely negating the disability. (ex: Toph with her seismic sense) It's refreshing having Hokoto's character not be 'the blind person'. She is my favorite and I hope she survives the story drafts! If there's anyway I can help with more information on the disability I'd be happy to give personal insight

I will say, a good word to use to describe colors for this power system would be "hues" since thats the placement on the ROYGBV spectrum without taking into account saturation and value (how light or dark a color is), meaning colors like black, white, and grey dont count as "hues", and also something like light blue and dark blue would fall under the same "hue"

I love that Aloe is the controller of Prism's MacGuffins. She is the literal representation of the stories progression, manifested so us as the readers can see it. With her power of granting Prisms, her realization and growing fondness of Katrina, it makes Aloe realize she messed up, and her trying to rectify the "magic-less" prism in turn nerf's Neneko upon realizing Aloe's blind admiration of them caused a lot of damage to someone that didn't deserve it. I'd like to think the moment that Aloe is making Sara her Prism, that's when her mother's personality peeks through her otherwise icy exterior: feeling the freedom, independence, and ultimately realizing the power Aloe has to not need other's approval to exercise it. . .BUT then immediately getting the consequences thrown in her face and seeing how that while she has power, it not only affects her and Sara but it throws EVERYONE around her out of balance. We loooooove slightly traumatic character development >:3

He just has to reverse engineer god magic or whatever I’m sure it’ll be fine… And Aloe soulbinding the prisms is awesome!!! The cutest devious little mastermind!!! So she does think Neneko and Kat could make up!! Why else force them to be together, all of the time now??? And the designs for the team are awesome!! There aren't words. There simply isn't enough to explain how god damned much I love this hypothetical series. This entire concept, these characters. The wild ride that has been your art journey, especially with PRISM, has been so unbelievably inspiring. It's made me reconsider my own practices and habits in my art and given me new ideas, tips, and tricks for how to improve, and I actually see progress. (For example, doing digital work as if it were a sketchbook has helped me be more comfortable doing messy sketches and posting them online). I just think it's so crazy to think 5 or 6 years ago, I decided, "Oo, this video looks fun!" And have been here since then. I do love the idea of Aloe slowly realizing that Neneko isn't the person she thought she was. Her seeing neneko from this idol big sister who loves people and wants to save them, to this person too scared to connection to try and she sees how much that hurts people, especially Kat. My thought process is that Kat would get her colors and neneko would get her second prism around the same time, meaning that Neneko ALSO has to deal with the fact that Kat, her ex that she's on bad terms with, has easily become Aloe's favorite person, and that how she has to deal with that. Great work as always June 🩷

Honestly now I am frothing at the mouth because I want to know so bad why Neneko got a second, much weaker prism... Also I love the way Neneko and Eimi have merged, it truly doesn't feel like we lost either character, we just got the best of both worlds in one now! I love this story and I can't wait to see where it goes from here

I think Sara will most likely be more of a proxy or naviagtor unit so she can still be involved in fights just like away from the actual fighting. Something like the navigators in persona where she can provide buffs but shes safely away from combat

June never pointed it out in the video but Emmy and Neneko where def the ones who fused imo. Probably because their personalities where really similar in the first place and it would be kinda weird to have neneko someone who isnt destiny bond with the team to just be there oh also Nenekos new transformation being green. duh

All of these redesigns absolutely SLAP and I love the reworking of the story; I especially admire combining two characters to make Neneko a stronger character in their own right. It's hard to give up a character you've had for so long but combining them really gives a ton of punch to them and Kat's relationship and lets Neneko be more central without feeling redundant. Also your fashion designs are so good? Everybody is so dripped out and this new really shapey colorful style you're working with is super visually pleasing. Great work June.

you and your teams work and passion are incredible and forever important to me. i watched your obviously very outdated "about me" video god maybe 6? years ago? and fell in the love with the way you presented yourself and expressed yourself (even if those years might be pretty cringe for you now.) it made me want to chase ideas i thought were impossible and really push for my own creative outlets. that first prism discussion on that redraw video was such a comfort and to look now and realize just how insanely far its come, and how far ive come? like wtf why am i in college now? how is life this fucking crazy but like actually. i appreciate this series more than even i realize, and to see it take its new . radiant form. and passion to such a degree, gives me that same childhood feeling of being able to do the impossible. so yeah thanks lol

Can’t stop watching your videos on your revamped version of PRISM. It’s inspired me to really work on one of my own stories I’ve been working on and off for like 5+ years and to not be afraid to come up with new ideas instead of forcing old concepts to work (I actually did a soft reset on it a bit ago). I cannot wait to see where PRISM goes-it’s sounding so interesting and fun so far

I enjoy how Aloe liking Neneko and Kat and Neneko being at odds at the start of the story kind of explains why Kat would get a powerless prism. Aloe was like "Not this rich jerk who upset my bestie. >C" But apparently either through the natural process of Aloe maturing and seeing Neneko more clearly for all of their flaws, or because Aloe grew more fond of Kat over time of actually knowing her, the turns tabled, ha ha ha. Granted! A relationship founded on hero worship on Kat's end would not have been a healthy one in the long term, so it's for the best both of them had time to mature and self-actualize before trying again, but lil kids see things in black and white. (Hee hee, black and white prisms.)
