When I complained to my doctor that the Warfarin I was taking was making me sick, he told me that actually over time it would kill me. I took it to thin my blood due to a-fib. He suggested that I take Ginko instead saying it made the blood slippery so that I didn't develop plaque. I've taken it for about 20 years now and still no plaque, AND my brain works great too.

I live in Baltimore, Maryland. Our city plants Ginkos along the streets. The female tree gets a fruit in the end of Summer. Asian people come then and gather them into bags. My children called the Ginko the "stinky ball" tree. Funny that the city planted female trees. Thank you for this helpful information. I will pass this along.

My husband wants to try this for his tinnitus too!! To the wonderful father and son Herboligists in the video, along with anybody out there, I have some basic questions: I heard y'all say to use the Ginkgo extract, along w Rodiola for help with Tinnitus. But how can I find out the basic amounts for him to take, without having to go see an herbologist? No money for those kinds of things right now, unfortunately... I realize seeing an herbologist would be the very best route, and normally I would, but really, our finances are hurting with all the world chaos going on right now. So... I would start him on the lowest dosages for his size, and be very careful with monitoring. I'm not trying to paint anyone into a corner on giving out medical info to a stranger, I know that is not advisable. I suppose I am simply wondering where a good source to begin my research on this combo would be? Any suggestions? And maybe this too: Is there a better time of day to take these 2 things? With or without food - does it matter? To The Dynamic Herbal Duo: Thank You SO MUCH for your YT Channel ! I have only just discovered it this month (July 2020) and I've really been enjoying it! ♡♡♡

In 2018 my daughter and I were foraging for herbs in a small wooded area at a local park when a tree that has always been there my entire life caught my attention. It was a female Ginko tree growing wild on its own this far up north in the Great Lakes region. I had thought that Ginko didn't tolerate the cold winter weather of the north and that it didn't grow in the wild on its own up in the north as well as it does in the warmer climates of the south. Well, I was wrong! So for 47 years I had walked past and snow sled passed that ginko tree countless times and never paid attention to its easy to identify leaves. I got all excited and began taking pictures of the leaves, fruit, bark etc to research just in case I was wrong about it being ginko. But all the research and my herbal friends confirmed that it was ginko so my daughter and I went and harvested some of the leaves and dried them to make teas with. I add lots of any kind of mint with it.

Have been taking Ginkgo for years along with Gensing, Gota Cola and Bee pollen. Works wonders on circulation and brain function. Talked to a woman who grew up with a huge Ginkgo tree in the yard of the house she grew up in. She said just having the tree there breathing the air around it helped her brain. I think this was in Oregon. U. Of San Diego in Lajolla planted Gonkgo trees along it's walk ways. Interesting. Bonnie Rae.

Researched ginkgo before I was going to start taking it, and I learned that people who are susceptible to poison ivy and similar rashes should not consume alkylphenols. I've never taken it as I am very susceptible to poison oak but I'm curious as to your knowledge on this.

If read that the toxic properties apply in general. The extract and the leaf. It doesn’t make sense that it would be toxic in tea form but not extract. If anything the extract should obviously be more dangerous. I think either way you would have to really overdo it tho

So do you dry and crush the leaves for the tea? How much is good per day, do you know how much is toxic of the crushed leaves? My neighbor has a tree and I would like to get some leaves off it and start drinking every day but not sure how much of the crushed leaves is a good amount and how much is bad, thank you

Lee Sharon Thank you Lee, so one tablespoon of the dried leaves a day is not toxic?
8 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I meant a teaspoon. A tablespoon would still be o.k. but might be a little strong. You can use this formula if you are making quantity of tea: One teaspoon per 12oz water. I make a half gallon and then put it in the refrigerator and warm it up or drink it cold. You can buy tea bags from "mountain rose herbs" and fill them yourself. A tea ball or tea strainer is cheapest, but it has to be made of stainless steel. Mountain Rose Herb's is a great website! I use both Yarrows and theirs.

GINKGO BILOBA The leaf of this Eastern tree Which has been entrusted to my garden Offers a feast of secret significance, For the edification of the initiate.
