I get where Ginny is coming from and I get we’re Georgia is coming from, Georgia needs to take a deep breathe and be a bit less defensive and understand that her daughter can appreciate her but still need more help, and Ginny needs to be okay with her mom not knowing how she feels and taking it slow. Baby steps.

Think is how can Georgia be less defensive when all ginny ever does is blame her, call her trash, a monster, and now racist with a therapist, someone not related to them right there?? After everything Georgia did and sacrificed for her. She has every right to be defensive. I mean she puts up with so much shit. Ginny complains about boundaries as she has a 16 year old boy climb in her mother's house in the middle of the night, does things behind her mom's back, party in her house, openly calls her mom out in front of everyone and calling her a monster, using her dead name, steals her mom's alcohol, and runs away with her mother's son- like she is the definition of disrespectful and doesn't follow any boundaries. Oh but her mom looks at her journal out of concern and nails her window and suddenly her mom crosses Ginny's poor little boundaries.

@@justme-kz6nmyeah you don’t look through someone’s journal out of concern… you confront them and be honest to get it in return. Ginny thought she was a monster because she constantly lied to her. She never opened up about why she killed Kenny (which wasn’t necessary btw, she could’ve just left him or went to the cops but a win win is to kill him and take his money and feel like you strictly did it to protect your daughter), she ruined her kid’s credit, and she kept so many other secrets (I don’t agree that she owes them her trauma but she did need to explain that she has a different name and life to protect herself from her harmful family). People forget Ginny is a CHILD. They shouldn’t be held at the same standard and when you bring a child into this world it’s your JOB to protect them. To take on the hurt. “She sacrificed so much” because it is her freakin responsibility to when she decides to bring a child into the world… it’s not special, she doesn’t deserve some pat on the back. You should provide for, protect, and respect them… that’s where they learn it. Why would Ginny respect Georgia’s boundaries when she learned from Georgia that they don’t really matter? And she didn’t call her racist but she doesn’t understand what it’s like to be racially black in America and she has shown that time and time again.

You know what bothers me. She is saying that she moved around a lot. So did many military kids. It happens. I think that these new children need to learn that life isn't perfect, and you need to deal with your issues without expecting perfection in your life. Her mother stood up for her. She may be crazy but she cares.

I agree. Expect she treated her like a friend all this time and suddenly decided to be mom one minute and seal window shut? That's ridiculous. Kids and teens NEED stability and to know what to expect. You can't go from friend one minute and mom the next. It's confusing and unfair. However I dO agree with the window thing If she established her role as a mother and her rules, and if they were broken then yeah🤷🏻‍♀️ windows getting sealed and don't cry about it. But this situation is completely different.

@@justme-kz6nm removing access to a mode of entry/exit and ventilation device is a health and safety risk. good parents respond to rule-breaking from a teenager through respectful discussions, and the enforcement of minor consequences (minor, in that they dont impede upon their child's life or privacy) - *not* storming into their child's room and sealing shut their only window. storming into said-child's room and having to resort to such drastic-measures is indicative of a real laze and incompetence. georgia literally opened credit cards in ginny and austin's names; most work places wont want to employ them, most landlords wont trust them to pay rent on time and will deny their housing applications, and their immediate-steps into the real world will be halted by them having crushing debts offloaded onto them out of nowhere... which will impede their ability to go to college and receive further education. georgia has a myriad of issues with parenting, beyond just acting like a friend instead of a parent. the "window sealing" thing is just another example of her handling conflict between her and ginny like an immature and temperamental teenager. i love georgia's character, however her love for her kids isnt enough to be a competent parent and there are zero justifications for the ways in which she raises her kids; austin stabbed another child, and she refused to allow him to attend *free* therapy because of her own hang ups. while i can understand the thought process behind sealing off ginny's window, it is an indefensible action for a parent to take and is obviously presented as being irresponsible by the text

I get Georgia is trying to protect her by lying and not telling her things and she definitely goes about things like reading her journal the wrong way. But would Ginny have opened up to her if Georgia asked? Probably not? Would she have lied too and played things off? Very likely. This was the start of them opening up those lines of communication. i can understand a little where Ginny is coming from. but Ginny shouldnt forget that all the drama happening around her was caused by her. she cannot blame her mom for everything thats going wrong in her life. if only Ginny witnessed the sh1t that Georgia had gone through. Ginny is here all partying, having best friends, boy drama, h00king around, sneaking out, doing drvgs, while Georgia at her age was surviving and doing the best she can to make her daughter have a good life so she'll never experience the hard times that Gerogia had. and yeah Georgia succeeded in doing so but if only Ginny would be grateful about it, sometimes i dont even think that she deserves it.

I agree except for the fact that she did all that because Georgia was never a mother. She was a friend. So of course she created a teen who becomes entitled and indulgent without any sense of rules or respect. That's Georgia's fault. I see that she is doing her best. But this is the kind of child that is created from trauma.

@@bg9716 The only thing which wasn’t a big issue is the window thing. Everything else said is true. Georgia has no boundaries. She threw a murder themed party as if Ginny wasn’t traumatised enough and there was a literal PI investigating you. Georgia made this therapy session more about herself than Ginny. She for some reason hates the idea of therapy and yeah I can see that not everyone likes it but she shoots down anyone who says tht Austin might need help.. including Paul. They have hinted so many times how Austin has violent tendencies. Ginny mentioned the credit card issue which is actually a very big thing. Georgia has basically ruined her kids futures. She smoked with her boyfriend and I might even go as far and say.. Georgia is one of the reasons Marcus broke up with Ginny. Yes I get no one taught her how to be a mom but she’s at an age where she still keeps acting like Ginny is her best friend and not her daughter

What is so bad about Scarlett O'hara? It was a fictional character and the protagonist in Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel Gone with the Wind which the movie was based on. It was a story set in a different time where unfortunately slavery was the norm. Because it was the south and it was the 1800s. If it happened today I'd understand the outrage but it happened 200 years ago when slavery was considered acceptable and legal. The story reflects the owners side and how unfortunately they accepted that as the norm. They grew up with it and saw that as a normal everyday thing. People don't know how to read history and see for how it was AT THE TIME and lack comprehensive skills. Everyone is sooooo offended by every little thing. Banning Gone with the Wind is another censorship tactic at its finest.

@@Meyoaya did you not read?? There was a private detective after her he was trying to bring kenny's murder to light and prove gerogia was responsible and throwing a murder mystery party when she is knew he was after her was incredibly careless and it does affect her kids coz the last thing that family needed is for their mom to be arrested (which does eventually happen at the end). As for ginny's self harm the party is not the reason behind it. It was explained throughout the show why she hurts herself. She talked about it with her therapist multiple times but people like you still call her "dramatic" for it missing the whole damn point of the show
@Meyoaya
@Meyoaya 7 ай бұрын
@@wheelersrhea throwing a murder mystery party when a private investigator is actively on a case about you is bold but not a crime. Ginny has never had and real problems other than the ones she makes, she says she moved a lot and never had any roots nor friends with isn’t the best but it’s not something that would push someone to off theirselve. I have moved so much when I was young and never had any real friends but that never affected me to the point I was sad, Ginny always had her mom and later on a brother. Ginny says she feels that she’s being judge for her skin and her mom doesn’t understand which is valid seeing that Georgia is white and Ginny is mixed but most of Ginny’s childhood scene when was she being judge? Georgia was always being judge like in the scene where she was going shopping and saw teenagers and tried to talk to them but Ginny called her mom and they all looked confused, when Georgia met Zion’s parents and they literally called her homeless to her face. Ginny wasn’t really “judge” other than by her racist teacher, the hate comments she got by the KZbin video of hunter song were just genuine hate as you can never please everybody and the scenes where the “white” characters don’t listen to Ginny about her hair or makeup are only because they weren’t educated on those things about mixed girls. Ginny was dead racist to hunter mid argument for no reason just because he didn’t side with her on him winning the essay was bs. No one called Ginny dramatic like the whole show, tell me once she was really called dramatic? Ginny thinks she has a bad life, I’d say her life isn’t the best but she got the good side of it. While Ginny was constantly moving Georgia had to literally kill for Ginny, work for Ginny, run away for Ginny, steal for Ginny, been a victim of abuse for Ginny, and after all of that Ginny has a good life and she wants to complain about the past and know about the secrets her mom is keeping. Every parent keeps secrets from your child as parents should, you shouldn’t tell your child everything that happens for the better until they are ready for those conversations but last I check Ginny was being a brat to Georgia because Georgia wasn’t ready to have those conversations and tell her the truth. Ginny wanted to know the secrets about how they got the good life and in season one when Georgia told her that she was ř@p€ as a young child and abused, she was in a gang, had to fight for her life Ginny sits in silence. Ginny thinks she has a horrible life when the most Ginny has struggled with is struggling to make roots since she always moved. If that’s not enough then look at all of Ginny childhood scenes, in everyone of them she’s happy, smiling, and has joy. Now she’s 16 and her life is “hard”?
