Ho subito ordinato mesi fa, prima dell’uscita, il nuovo cd direttamente dagli USA ..per me è un grande album. Qualche mio amico si aspettava un disco un po’ “rivoluzionario” tipo “Yonder Tree” o “qualcosa” alla “Brother to Brother” o “NightWalker” ma, Gino Vannelli, ha fatto la scelta di far uscire un disco introspettivo sulla sua vita con dei arrangiamenti jazz-blues dove tra l’altro suona praticamente tutti i strumenti (con qualche accezione). Per me è un bel disco molto piacevole all’ascolto! Anche il pezzo rifatto (Wayward lover). In ogni caso posso affermare che c’è sempre un grande Gino Vannelli sia nella scrittura testi/musica e sia, ovviamente, il canto!! L’ultima volta che l’ho visto dal vivo era il 2016..direi spaziale sia lui e sia i suoi musicisti!! Tra l'altro ha cantato tutte le canzoni nella stessa tonalità delle originali. Non è da tutti. Cavolo ora ha 67 anni quindi… i miei più sentiti complimenti caro Gino!! Great Gino!
