home bargins sells Ginsters at 99p each its their normal price so how come all other supermarkets sell them for £1.95 each when not on offer just shows how the big supermarkets are ripping us off

its called overheads, all the other services and the tens of thousands of more lines that big supermarkets carry, the extra staff, freash counters, delivery drivers, etc etc all have to be paid for, places like home bargains dont have all these so can affords to keep their margins tighter. its too simplistic to say they're ripping us off, the 2 businesses are not comparable

I went through a phase a few years back where I'd have a few beers and then about half ten nip to the co-op and pick up a couple more beers, and they nearly always had Ginsters on sale at that time, so I used to get a couple of Ginsters for my supper. All really nice but I did prefer the Cornish pasty.

I use to live near the Ginster factory where you could buy the Pasty stright from the oven. The joke was they were twice the size of the Ginsters pasty you buy in England but I assume these were for the tourist areas rather than retail!

I've had a ginsters - all I could taste was pepper and it was incredibly filling! I do like a real Cornish pasty but its a long drive from Yorkshire and they go cold before we get back....😹

I love a proper pasty but I do find Ginsters a decent brand one. I think Morrisons own Pasties are decent.. often used to get one from Morrisons Walsall built on the Legendary Fellows Park ⚽️. Top Video Mar mate …. Smithy

Keith I do love a Pasty. I must say Tesco own are nice, but my favourite are Icelands Beef and Vegetable (2 in a pack for £2), or 3 packs for £5. Bargain. They are packed with filling. Keith those Morrison chips looked yummy 👍👍😁

I tried the cheese and onion one, it was terrible, very sweet, couldn't eat it. Its got apple puree in, not my thing, but my own fault for not checking the ingredients before I bought it.

would not pay a £1 for the S roll. there is no way that Ginsters are worth £2 full price. like the more thick cut chips. over the thin ones they cook and go hard when cooking quicker. and more surface area for more fat coating etc.

Hi Keith I don't like ginster pies pasty I love greggs pies and sausage rolls idont like aldi sausage rolls or the pies .Keith hollands do a lovely pasty I know they sell them in tesco in the chiller cabinet but no frozen ones I email hollands to srr if they would sell them frozen in 4 but they said the isnt much call for them love to you and Nat love fran xxxx

it really amazes me that people seem to think greggs sausage rolls are the best, they're bland as anything and the filling is more like meat paste, similar to richmond sausages. Id rather pay for the ginsters than Greggs

As a true Cornishman, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole! They taste nothing like a true Cornish pasty. Ginsters are reviled by the Cornish and seen as a joke down here. Also a true Cornishman would never ever eat a pasty with Chips! A true Cornish pasty is a complete meal in itself.
