I'm not sure that's the case though. That type of food tends to just make you crave more and leaves you unsatiated.(by design of the food manufacturers!) From experience and then ALOT of research and reading on the subject there is so much we have been lied to about. There's a surprise!. Decent whole food and good protein, and some adaptions as bodies are all different and respond differently, is better and more fulfilling however you have to get over the physical and psychological addiction these foods have over of us as a first step. And time to research and cook...which alot of people just don't have sadly.

It's not saturated (stable) fat, it's unsaturated (unstable) fat which has had water molecules added to make it a solid at room temp. Also, it's anti-bacterial so adds shelf life. I eat TVP (texturized vegetable protein) and it does have a distinctive taste which I can best describe as being a bit like wallpaper paste. The way I eat it is to season it heavily; it's good in Mexican dishes like tacos. I also will mix it with meat like the manufacturer has done here. Sounds like they tried to flavor it with salt, but if you don't have enough beef flavor (through the gravy or some beefy enhancement, then it's going to be bland. For example, I rehydrate TVP (what you call soya protein) with beef bouillon. Honestly, this is something I would buy.

there seems a lot of videos coming out about the new Iceland £1 range. Many of this new range are boxes with far far less than the normal 400g weight being less than 250g or in that range you really have to ask are they still worth it. 7% meat at 280g is not even 20g of meat in both. Puff pastry is not expensive and its not hard to just make your own. but with some content inside. you look at it and it looks like beef but it could be the soya protien making on it is meat. when you can get 500g of mince from aldi for £2.49. even if you look at the whole 20g then its only 10p worth of mince at this price
