Skill. Creativity. Flair. Tenacity (going forward). He's got these skills in abundance. I think that the last two USMNT matches showed that he can be the hub around which our offense flows. (He's also shown that he's willing to put in more effort defensively, too.) I can't wait to see how he (and Dortmund) react after losing Bellingham. This is certainly Reyna's time to shine.

He has always had the offensive skills. But you nailed it, these two usmnt matches he really stepped up on defense. If he will do that every match he could be a star ⭐️

Before we worship him, he still has to work on speed and quickness but yeah his passing and tenacity is looking great, hoping to see continued progress in the future and that he avoids injuries.

@@snapkrrwhat you talking about he’s quick, it’s just that he has a tall stance when dribbling.

@@snapkrr isn't that a natural talent. I mean, if you don't have it you don't have it. I don't know if that can be learnt but he has a decent enough speed for the role he plays.

If he stays healthy he will put up some NUMBERS next season. I counted roughly 5 “should’ve been” assists

That's a big "if" bro. Whenever Gio gets a run of games, he get's injured. Even got injured within 2 games in Nations League. The fact that he's injury-prone is very bad even if his talent is really high. You get injured, you sit out 2-4 weeks and you lose your spot in the rotation. The fact is that far too many players in this player pool are injury prone. Only players I can think of that are not injury prone and plays at a high level is Antonee Robinson, Tim Ream, CCV, McKennie (fast recovery times), Aaronson, Weah, and Musah.

with bellingham gone they sorely need a midfield playmaker and reyna is by far their best choice. we just need to, like, flex seal both his legs for the whole season and he'll get all the minutes.

He's got the talent to be an American Zidane. But he's got to get his head straight and grow up. I'm really heartened by what I'm seeing from him this spring. It feels like for the first time he's giving 100% out there.

@@Deeznutz29828 His dad had the talent to be one of the top 5 CAMs in the world if he could have only stayed healthy. In 2002, Claudio was voted to the world cup best XI. Gio has very much the same ceiling if not higher, but the same fears about his hamstrings and on top of that he's a spoiled entitled brat because he was born into American soccer royalty. Lets see how seriously he takes his fitness this year. I feel he's finally acquired enough humility to play well. His body language is so much better than it was last year, and I see the hair dye when he went back to the USA team as a positive sign - weird hair is almost a signature of the team.

Too much pressure to be an English player representing the country at the international stage, because the media and fans slate you if you don't win anything. England has a lot of talent but their last major trophy was in 1966 and that's shocking 😬

Injuries!!! That’s what many of these Berhalter apologists and ESPN anti American pundits don’t see. When a player has long spells of injuries you are replaced. Even when you get healthy the coach will instead rely on your replacement to not disrupt the dynamic of the team. You have to be really good like Mbappe to automatically get your place back once you healed from that inherit.
