I really want to see where you go from here. I just bought the same motor and esc today and awaiting mating it to my EMaxx roller next monday. Im incredibly new to this so a video of installation would be great!!

That's a 1st...Castle preinstalled an inline cap-pack! I wonder did they also upgrade the internal BEC. That'll look good in my Bandit!

It would do well in both cars, but I would go with the slash for sure! The system works great in my rustler

Rally because it's used for road and would get more speed and stay cooler while the slash could possible be slower because it's for more serious off-roading. Which can also make the esc and motor heat up faster

I run my slash on 2200kv with a mamba 2 with 4s and I've hit 88mph! I have converted to a road runner! I have geared up big time and my next run should be right around 100mph! I will then use my 6s and see what happens! I recommend putting it in the slash

I would put it in the Rally. Everyone always upgrades the Slash and this would be different and unique. And if there is anything I know about your style Gio, it's that you like to be unique!

I installed MM 2200 in both and found its to much for the slash off road but perfect for the rally off road and if you put the OX1 OR STREET tires on the rally it is so much fun and fast. Off road with the MM the rally just handles so much better and I have no clue why. Both have all the same upgrades from trans to proline kit that widens the arms and proline second edition pro shocks. I originally bought 1 MM and tried in each but I'm lazy so I just bought another. Rally will give the best in all handling on or off road in my opinion

I burnt out my old mamba monster system, and I'm tempted to go for the sidewinder because of the price but I can't seem to find out what the difference is between the mamba and the sidewinders system

It kills me to say this, but as much fun as I think that motor/ESC combination would be off road, you'd better be able to put the power to work in the on-road/Rally application. As for the ESC: I've spent my share of time on the phone with the guys at Castle and most of their ESC families (voltage classes) are based on the same internal architectures. So any 24V (6S) or 32 V (8S) Castle system should have pretty similar performance capabilities with the main differences being due to packaging for the specific application. The external capacitor is a great example of this as I've seen other high-end racing ESCs with this "feature" lately. I suspect it is so the racers, who the Sidewinder product line is marketed toward, can fit this new ESC in their existing ESC footprint without having to reconfigure the other components in their trucks. It probably helps to keep the cap cooler as well.

Now i like it Gio, for me bro, i would go with Rally. That whip would definitely appreciate the upgrade. Most rcer's usually upgrade their Slash's & far as i know you might be one of the first to pimp out the Rally. On Gio pimps a whip the right way, One Luv!
