I dare you to tell me a better character development on a show. In a revival that made me sad and angry and frustrated he was the true hero! My poor Rory was sacrificed for sock value and I'm still bitter about it but I chose to focus on something beautiful. Because these two are adorable and love each other no matter what.

Best couple on television. Scratch that- the most meant to be couple on television. Dean was a good first experience and Logan was good for her when she was experimenting with her money, but the one person that was right for her always; her heart, soul, outlook, aspiration- was Jess. They are soulmates and if this was real life they would just have to either wind up together or admit at least that they in fact soulmates.

@@nemigrimes7801 she worded that part weirdly but what I think she means (if so then I agree) logan was very privileged in a variety of ways, money and knowing people high up. Because of this he was a risk taker and seen the world in a way people without money cannot. A naive and spoiled kind of view. Rory grew up with little to nothing in terms of expenses. However she was spoiled in other aspects by her mother. Such as being praised and adored when she didn’t deserve it. Which leads to her eventual downfall when she gets things handed to her from her grandparents. She feels entitled like she deserves it because she is part of this prestigious family and it was her mother that turned away from it. Logan played a key roll in showing her what he life could have been like if she always had that money. He was an experience not who she was meant to be with.

I just don’t understand how anyone can say that Logan is a better choice for Rory. Yes, Jess made some mistakes when he was a kid but he grew up. He pushed Rory to the best that she could be while, IMO, Logan always dragged her down. Look at the revival - Jess became someone who could be a true PARTNER for Rory, Someone who believes in her and knows her well enough to know that her relationship with her Mom has always been the thing that inspires her the most. Logan is still just a spoiled little rich boy who is great at the big romantic gestures, right before he heads home to his future wife 🙄 please. Team Jess all the way. Great job on this!

I actually liked Logan as Rory's boyfriend, not right away I'll admit, but he started to grow on me after the two of them commit to each other for real. He was a caring and dependable boyfriend, who made an effort to get along with Rory's Mom, and was always there when she needed him, like when her Grandpa got sick. And while I do believe the two were very much in love, I still have to agree that Rory just wasn't a good person when she was with Logan. She changed so much while with him, and by the time of the revival was absolutely despicable. Her morals and character development went out the window, and while that is definitely not Logan's FAULT, he didn't exactly do much to stop it, in fact his lifestyle made her worse, it rubbed off on her the wrong way. On the other hand, Jess's few, short lived appearances back in her life were always enough to snap Rory out of whatever delusion she was in, and get her back on track. In the beginning Jess needed Rory's love and support in order to become the Jess we saw in the revival, but afterwards it was Rory who needed Jess's guidance time and time again. Those two are definitely soulmates ❤️

Jess was the only one who had loved Rory for who she is. He never discouraged her dream. He had issues and he resolved it gradually. I think first love is the one that stays with one for a lifetime. He was never over Rory. They were alike in so many ways but different. Rory was expected to be perfect. Get all them degree, and be an Amanpour, in reality she was trying to be not like her mother. She had done everything to be not in the "situation" her mother had been. But in the end, she ended being pregnant with Logans baby. Ironic isn't it? We become what we try to avoid. When everything and everyone abandons her Jess comes and always reminds Rory of who she is. That is love. He is clearly not over her. Who would be? They were so star-crossed or literally their stories were written by two grumpies who were super "crossed". 🤣✌🏽 Sad part is this. He still loves her. She changed him to be responsible when she rejected his option to accompany him and live with him. She was too young back then and also naive. He learned from his mistakes and changed into a better man. My word! Jess and Rory were the best. I want them to have a better ending. PS: Dear Writers of this complex funny series. I know you guys were grumpy while writing their story. But still give Jess his Rory. They are meant to be.

it's a relief to know that there are other people who love this love story, the best relationship, the most emotional and beautiful love I've fell in love since the first time Jess came to Stars Hollow, and the love story I've never stop believing in. I also realized, that Jess never had another gf, or love, it was rory always rory. When she went off track he pushed her back on track with what she wanted to do with her life. He knew her better than anyone. He made her go back to Yale and he put the good old rory back in her place. Even though she didn't thank him, he always made her happy. And that's why I love Jess, he could be selfish at times but all he wanted to do was help rory.

That was a very sensitive depiction of their relationship. My favourite part was when you added the compilation of all their little moments before Jess answers to Luke. You don't get over your first love... @@giotask I think Amy was planning to do another Year in the Life, during which we get to see that Jess is there for Rory while she is raising her child (Logan being the bio dad). They would probably get together in the new revival. There is no other reason for them to have ruined Logan's character (him working for his father again, marrying for money & cheating on the fiance) and to have Jess save Rory from another crisis plus have him look longingly at her. However, the schedules of the main cast are really intense so unfortunately we won't get to see another revival for at least several years.

Oh wow, this is great Rory Jess video, been looking for video where they supporting each other, you missed the part when Rory told Jess to go to college ( car scene, when Rory refers him as Kurt Cobain, and he refers he as Courtney ) and Rory confronts him when he skipped school and wanna helped him catch up. Thank you for making this video, its shown how bad the writers screwed her character so bad and stripped her dignity. I will always love Rory because its not her fault, the writers did her dirty. And Rory Jess are the END GAME, the writers just feels the need to keep screwing their plot, not a decent prom, not a decent hug at revival when they met, and how on earth she gave her virginity to Dean ? @@giotask absolutely, this is by far the best video about Rory Jess that I've came across. Rory's character is the best example for teenagers, she's smart, book worm, nice, polite, kind and she's brave enough to face Paris in her early year at Chilton. I hated the writers for making the fans pit Rory against Paris, like come on they both equally smart and intellegent but by making Paris more successful than Rory and Rory become biggest loser just don't add up. Why can't they wrote that both Rory and Paris successful, even Serena and Blair both very successful in the final season. And Rory helped Paris when she's depressed about not getting to Harvard ( that's friendship not a competition ). But the writers feels the need to make Mitchum belittled her that's not a critique that's crushing someone dream ( the fact that her internship basictly just she's being assistant and writing gig ) Jess did critique her at car scene " I don't think you rough enough " but as soon as he knows that discouraged her he immediately bust her confidence back ( that's critique supposed to be, not in harsh way and gave sollutions ), besides she can survive Paris but can handle a douche like Mitchum ? So not Rory. Even if she went to Harvard the writers would've still ruined her by adding Harvard Logan, face it out of her boyfriend only Jess that " compatible but not compatible that is boring " she said that, and only Rory Jess scene that got sexual tension and passionate kiss, they challenge each other to be the better version of themselves. Dean nice guy but he not intellectually compatible with her, Logan is trust fund kid, if he love her at all he would never had cheated on her several times the fact that she doesn't leave him just doesn't make any sense. When she got Jess's book invitation she looks so happy and proud for Jess and then go to Philadelphia, parralel to ( Rory skip school and went to NY ) she came to show her support but the writee has to ruined it all over again by saying that she's in love with Logan, WTH, come on, went to Philly and kiss Jess just to make Logan jealous ? What, she couldn't just kiss random guy at Yale or something, just doesn't added up. Even Jimmy Fallon can't watch season 4 because its so awful and Alexis said " its so out of character ", and she dissapointed because she wants Rory to be succesful in the revival. For me the show over at her Chilton graduation and her valedictorian speech its brilliant, still bummed tho the writer don't let Jess Rory go to the prom or at least he attended her graduation. By the way do you know why she prefer went to Stars Hollow High prom rather than Chilton's prom ? I'm sorry for the long rants and sorry for my bad english and grammar, I just hated the writer so much, disgraceful what the writer done to her character.

Im crying over this it was done so well and ugh im in love with it im in love with them. what Rory and jess had I will always continue you to find for myself they were so meant to be with each other thats why I don't get how they didn't end up together in the end even though we did get teased with them showing there still being chemistry there between the two which gives me hope. they way the characters started from the jump the way they understood and bettered each other through the whole series is just so heart warming to watch it feels real. also another thing I don't get is how some people aren't team jess like whattt my mom infant is team Logan and I hate that and try and change her mind everyday. personally im only 15 and don't really have a sense for love or anything but what those two had made me understand and undeniable will always have in the back of my head there just so perfect its even hard to explain really its just incredible. team jess for the win for sure !

GOD. DAMN. My heart aches. That was everything! I found the Rory storyline frustrating, but not untrue. It felt like Rory, but the least idealized version of her. I think it was a good choice to have her in a rut, but my frustration comes from, I believe, the fact that I feel like we got so little & it's not very likely that we will get more. I think if we were definitely getting more Gilmore Girls, people would be a lot more forgiving of her choices.

Bubbles I felt frustrated too. Rory's flaws were exaggerated and she lost her empathy and compassion. Remember her going to Dean after her first real kiss with Jess because she cared about his feels and she was 17 and now a 32 year old woman thinks it's funny not only to cheat but to forget about her current bf and make it a joke. It was too much but I would have been kinda ok if she was like this in winter& spring and then redeem herself in summer and fall. So I agree if there will be another revival & she'll be less annoying maybe I will be more able to forgive her. I'm still in shock.
