So Eric was fine that Ridge was putting down in a very rude way his youngest son for not knowing absolutely everything, but when the youngest son is coached and does a bit better, oh poor poor Ridge. Eric is forgetting Ridge was the one who chose to leave. Nobody deprived him of his head designer position even after his foolish coup and Rick is not CEO either. Eric isn't CEO either. So attacking his youngest son is out of line, and unfair.

Technically, they didn't. Brooke fired Ridge as CEO but wanted to keep him as head designer. Ridge threatened to live if Brooke doesn't make him CEO again, And we had Eric asking the board to vote to accept Ridge's resignation as FC designer. We had Rick and Brooke trying to convince Ride to stay as their head designer. It might not be really important on B&B (Ridge not really needing the money), but if you got fired you might be entitled to get compensation money/severance pay , but if you resign, you only get paid for your work until your last day at the company.
