The sonata in F Major for recorder and continuo by Giovanni Battista Somis (1686-1763), from an 18th century manuscript in Parma. Somis was a student of Arcangelo Corelli, and he worked primarily in Turin, Italy, but he also performed in the Concert Spirituel in Paris. His musical style follows the tradition established by Corelli and Vivaldi.
