That actually is the real reason the ice cream machine is broken. It's not actually broken but they have to turn it off regularly to clean it and it's just easier to say it's broken.

The real real reason that the ice machine's are sometimes broken is, that they don't teel ya that the machines are actually being cleaned to counter bacteria. They don't tell you that, because it could scare people off and also if they would make ice while that it would come out like slime and that's not healthy/tasty at all

The fossils are more than mildly indurating, they are downright upsetting because they were taken to be likely sold there was no scientific data recorded from them on their removal. It was also done recklessly and might have damaged any fossils underneath or even the fossil they were removing and likely they aren't going to properly preserve the fossils (though it might be that the fossils were preserved by whoever set up the trail that lets people hike up to see them) It's just all around infuriating to see as a paleontologist.
