@UnchainedEruption2 жыл бұрын
@@dagreatgibson7957 Just FYI when you get a first guitar, you're probably better off sticking to one with a fixed bridge, i.e. no whammy/tremolo bar. The floating bridge aka as a Floyd Rose is just a b*tch to tune or restring, especially as a beginner. Also one that sits comfortably in you legs, because most of the time at home you play sitting down, and flying V shapes for e.g. can be uncomfortable to play for extended periods that way. I only say this because that was my mistake was getting a Flying V with a floating bridge for the first guitar. I'm comfortable with it now, but it would have saved me a lot of trouble and hassle if I didn't.

Amen, I don't know how KZbin got me here but I'm glad they did. From the minute I heard this song I felt a mullet growing out of my skull again. Then my leather jacket popped out through my skin and somehow, my minivan turned into a 1969 Z/28 Chevy Camaro right before my eyes in my driveway and I was cruising the sunset strip in Hollywood with my bros headed to the Roxy, Troubadour, Whiskey a Go Go, all in one night. It felt like it was the mid 1980s. Thank you for having that great sound.

If 80's rock had continued uninterrupted, this is what it might have matured into after a few more decades of being perfected. The singer's voice is the centerpiece of the group. Wow is an appropriate reaction. His voice reminds me more of the time, than it does any of the prior front men. Even though his voice fits a certain style, it is still his own and very unique. If you watch some of the group's tribute videos, you'll find that he can come pretty close to sounding like the singers that he's emulating with the tributes. But his own voice, is his best voice. It would be easy focus solely on the front man's outstanding voice. But the talent throughout the band is impressive. Not only are the members really good at what they do individually, but they fit together quite nicely. In the comments section of the "18 and Life" tribute, I saw someone recommend that he be Skid Row's front man. But I don't see why he would trade the chemistry that he has with the current group, just so he could sing with a bunch of old white guys because they have a famous name. I like Skid Row. But this guy looks to already be in the right place. I look forward more from these guys. I'm happy to see good music making a comeback.
@UnchainedEruption2 жыл бұрын
Puhlease, the Brian Johnson-imitation is unmistakable, and the formulaic penatonic solo (practically running up and down scale practice) just makes this song and group interchangeable with any of hundreds of others. These guys don't hold a candle to any of the B-list bands of the 80s. It's one thing to be "inspired by" and then make the sound your own; it's another to just copy verbatim the "Best rock songs of ____" playlist curated to you by Spotify. Because there was a shit ton more variety even back then. It's a sign that the genre is pretty dead when people are so desperate they will cling to anything "new," no matter how derivative. Or maybe they just like the nostalgia wank and don't want to be musically challenged.
