She wasn't promoting side chicks, she was saying how she was one back when she wasn't about the god life, and how she under stands why they do what they do. She admitted she was selfish for doing that and calling herself a hoochie mama was just a comedic act. For you to say that she is being fake on this show really contradicts the whole point of her admitting and telling her stories out. Yeah she switches sides and positions because she is not perfect. Everyone has an opinion and it takes others to help her change it. Phuoc Trinh: I tend to agree with you. Jeannie knows cheating or having sex with someone who has a girlfriend is wrong. She isn't proud of her past mistakes, that's why she started the story saying "I was a side chick once, you can judge me for that". And it seems to me she doesn't talk about "pre-Jesus Jeannie" as an excuse but rather to remind people/explain that at that time she wasn't the person that she is now. Basically, here she was trying to be honest and explain how she felt when she was a side chick and at that time: she was selfish, immature, and really didn't care about anything. I think all those comments about hooch is her trying to be funny and less serious because she doesn't want to deny her past and also knows there is no point in regreeting/feeling selfhatred or guilt for things that she can't change, they are on the past. Jeannie has mentioned in some occasions that she had boyfriends who also cheated on her, who were envious or mistreated her, that she used to get in trouble in school, that her family had severe financial problems, etc... so I'm guessing that pre jesus Jeannie was one of those adolescents who have so much pain and frustration that they start doing crazy things, depending on love and sex and excitement to escape from their issues. A lot of people live that period. That doesn't mean their mistakes weren't wrong, it just mean that we're all human. And we can learn from our mistakes.

There are two different types of side chicks... There's the side chick who is aware of the main chick and the side chick who isn't aware of the main chick.
