This movie is based on the true story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, victim of munchausen by proxy (she made a STORM on the Internet when she was granted parole at the beginning of 2024). It is EXTREMELY important to remember this is an adaptation that took a LOT of liberty in the writing, also the family never recieved any royalties for this show. Fun fact: Although the show was inaccurate and cheated her out of money, Gypsy actually complimented the actors of the show. If you treat The Act as a fictional show, then yes, it's a great show with good writing and acting. But don't base your opinion of the Truth on something trying to maximize money 🤑

Ah yes "wohman bad ",and lets ignore the not the fact that he was absolutely not fit for relationship. He was using vunerable girl as free-of-charge OnlyFans for 2 years never even once seeing her in real life, imprinting his fantasies on her, telling her what to do to make him aroused. He also allegedly ra_ed her and admitted to fantasising about ra_ing her mother before murder. He was arrested twice, once for "actively" watching porn in public and second time for disorderly conduct. Gypsy says she was scared of him and that he was controlling just like her mother.
