Nice! Well played Bob. I love that guitar! Although some say this tune is overplayed, it is still my favorite bossa. I love Jobim's music. Now subbed....

Thanks! It is a great tune, no doubt. I also play it in 3/4 time when playing in a group. Which kinda gives it a totally different feel. The guitar is a Robert Conti guitar. First generation of his models. He is also a monster jazz guitarist.

Beautiful playing and arrangement. I have to learn this soon. Tell us about that guitar.
@argyle6674Ай бұрын
Hey thank you! The Guitar is a private label Robert Conti guitar made by Peerless I believe. First generation of his design called the EQUITY. The first Conti Archtop Guitar, the Equity was in production from 2009 to 2015. It featured a solid spruce top, solid maple back and sides with a 17 inch lower bout, and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard. And a 23-1/2" scale. It's essentially the same as a Gibson Byrdland I think. It's pretty thin, I'd say 1-7/8". It's as good as any guitar I've played. And I've owned a handmade Triggs, Gibson Es 775 and Es 175, a Heritage top of the line axe, Hofner Jazzica and a host of other instruments. So I think it compares favorably to those instruments. I bought it used on reverb.com for pretty cheap, under 1000 bucks. Action is low and even up the neck. Hope that gives you enough info the guitar. Thanks for watching. :)

Hello again Bob. One of my favorite tunes, noticed the synch is off slightly with sound/video. Still a very enjoyable performance. Thanks and have a great day!
@argyle66742 ай бұрын
Hey, Michael, thanks. Yes, sometimes the sync is off on my vids after I upload to youtube. I don't know why. Maybe I need a new cam. My computer is also low on ram, so when I edit these vids, the computer struggles with processing. I should invest in a new recording system, cam, and computer. Maybe I'll google why the sync is off.
