If Black women wore their hair out more often and it’s original state, this would not be confusing for most people. Our black hair is so unique and beautiful. It locks in moisture and releases it when it gets humid outside. I sense a bit of fascination from those who do not understand . Black people with 4c hair, please be proud of who you are no matter who you are around. Get to know what you natural hair does and wear your Afro freely every day. I think her hair was holding in smoke from the campfire. Our hair soaks up smell very easily, that's why I hate to be around smokers cuz my hair will smell like it for days.

Y’all say anything and be WRONG. I went to summer camp as a kid AND smoke now, this is from moisture. It’s the same when you exercise, when you stop moving you can see the steam coming off your body. If you don’t like smoke smell just say that, but this has nothing to do with smoke at all😂.

I don’t think everything should be in a negative way and we should look from both sides. This situation could’ve made her uncomfortable because everyone was making it all about her hair. On the other hand, I’ve never seen someone’s hair in the condition that steam comes out of it. I know everybody is different, but I personally would react the same way even though I’m black.

When you are out hunting, gardening, fishing, or going through any trees, you put you hair in a few braids or you cover your hair up all together. I repeat All hair styles can collect debris. However you do not walk in the wooded areas , go through brush, etc, with a big a$$ Afro and not expect some trouble. Having two or a few braids on your head is a lot safer to maneuver and wash than a fro. Even better , wear a camo hat. Put your hair in a pony if not for a couple of braids.

There are women who have spiral curly type 3, that are looser and tighter. There are women who have spring coily type 4, that are looser and tighter. It does not cover this and other aspects. Their are women with a tighter coil pattern to 4c. Their are so many different diverse curl patterns not mentioned on the chart.Furthermore, hair shrinkage does not necessarily mean 4c hair pattern. This is not displayed in this chart.Hair porosity, hair density, hair diameter etc is not even mentioned. Yet alone hair texture amongst other things. The Lois Hair System is much better.
