Some good tips. But the most important thing people need to know hair goes through different phases. Hair growth is largely genetics, along with health and diet. So start with eating healthy, along with tips on taking care of your hair. And remember just because someone have long hair down their butt. Don’t mean you will too. Don’t watch other people’s hair journey. Focus on your own journey.

hair length is not genetic. please stop implying. Hair doesn't stop growing unless something is going on with one's health therefore health length is not genetics. growth rates, density, texture yes genetics length nope not genetics.

@@Brandiisbelovedsay it again!! The whole “hair growth is genetic” mantra may have some validity but hair length is not genetic. If you are too lazy to grow your hair, say that instead. Just be gentle with your hair and eliminate the junk from your diet. It’s really not rocket science.

I agree so much with the importance of safely detangling your hair. For about a year or more now I've started detangling my hair is sections under the running shower and it has completely changed the game. Having that constant water flow offering endless slip while you comb it out makes it almost effortless for me.

Honestly, I expected to click off this video, anticipating that it would be the same as every other 'grow your hair' video out there but I was thoroughly interested. I could relate to you. The way I washed my hair, the way I would leave it out to dry and then dread having to comb through it, the amount of hair I would lose in the process. I can relate so badly because this is the routine I've known since I was conscious of myself. I'm so glad you were open about it and actually told us what you did to remedy and see results. Thank you so much, I appreciate your honesty throughout the video.

Our hair will grow , it will exceed our dreams if we be just slow down be honest with our regimen. Enjoying her actually showing us in real time doing her own hair with the products. She knows our hair experiences , can explain what we do, what we do go through because we are so busy . All the more we care for everybody, neglect our self because we are too tire . So Queens slow down , set aside some time to love yourself. I , others deserve to see all in all your beauty . You are worthy to walk this journey . Yes she has the lifetime experience for us. I want you to know I grateful for your labor, honesty to our youth. Thank you sister for being so real . Thank you for NO fake pictures, thank you for no fake 4c hair. Thank you for the wisdom, confidence we can , always have had them strands rocking , some tribes cultures rock hair in many styles today. God knows what we need , where you are always. Ask it shall be done. Not “All hair that is curly“ is always a 4c generational thing . I’m mixed orange , don’t know my next match or the purpose . I respect I don’t forget. I have living reminders like adult children , ancestors they watching , they will absolutely abandon me if I dare abandon the love they give everyday. My nationality ethnicity of Africa. I can’t run with their blood but I do reverence the all of that grandest version of the before of me for we one. Compassion great video lady. Stay tapped in. This is One of many many many young melanated women stepping up , telling their own generational stories of no hair in her family, alone that is offering us to us. OMG. Your words have inspired me to not give up. I'm nearly in tears because i miss my hair being nearly this long. I'm a straight natural no relaxer so i wear roller sets bi-weekly or a good silk press and curl for 3 to 4 weeks. Unfortunately my hair didn't like the "natural hair Life or Bandwagon" 😢 😢. So i went back to what was working when i had a hair stylist for 20 years until they retired from hair 😢 😢. My hair was near bra length from wearing a good silk press and i had it done once a month. My hair was so healthy. I had no heat damage for the 20 years i had a hair stylist👍🏾👍🏾. Now that i've went back to being a straight natural my hair like me again 🤣 🤣. I've learned after having a hairstylist for so long that everyone hair is different and what may work for my hair or others hair may not work for my hair. My hairstylist had what i called "magic hands". Now i'm back to bouncy curls although it's about shoulder length but i'm on a new hair journey to grow it back to the length it was. It'll take some time but i've learned to enjoy this hair journey and let GOD walk me thru this one. *NOTE TO SELF*...... Envolve GOD in my hair care and my hair growth journey. STAY SAFE EVERYONE. GOD BLESS US ALL 🙏🏽 🙏🏽.

OMG I'm in tears. Ive been looking for someone with the same texture as my daughter that has the length we are trying to get her to. When she was 6yrs old (6 yrs ago) her hair was mid-back and healthy. At that time I sent her and her siblings to live with their Dad and they were with him for 6 yrs. 6 months ago I drove over 1k miles to get her and my boys back from their dad and her hair was in these old box braids that I knew immediately needed to come down. While taking them down I noticed that her hair was no longer the hair she left with....it was ABOVE HER SHOULDERS😢. While living with her dad, his wife cut all her hair off. Now I'm trying to grow her hair back to how it was. I am natural as wwll and just before I went to get them I had finally grown my hair out to midback 🎉 but upon seeing my daughters hair I decided to big chop so we could grow our hair out together. Our textures are different so what i do for my hair doesnt work and then my youngest daughter who is currently 6 has a different texture than mine and my 12yr old. So we all have different routines and products we use. My 12yr olds hair is very dense like yours with no curl pattern that I've been able to see just yet. When she was younger it was the same. Back then every week I would always wash, condition, blowdry, then style her hair. Never really did much with it just kept it simple. Currently we are doing knotless braids to put her hair away out of her sight because she's been constantly saying how its not growing it and comparing it to mine. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing ❤ Off to watch more of your videos.

Wow I'm sorry your daughter had a hair setback 😔 (I was wondering why did his wife cut her hair 🤷🏾‍♀️) the good thing is she is young so her growth cycle is great (it slows down a bit as we age) but with your consistency that you used before, I'm sure her hair will flourish in no time. I think it is so sweet how you cut your hair so you two can grow it out together ❤️ that is beyond supportive so she doesn't feel like she's going through it alone. I admire that. It's heartwarming to know you guys are going through this hair journey together ❤️

This video is so good you reminded me of all the things they used to do to my hair and I can’t believe that I used to do that in there was no information about my hair back in the day I learned that I had the wrong comb I was doing shampooing wrong so many things I just wasn’t loving my hair thank God I found out I love this video I started styling my hair I would like to suggest that everyone send this video to all the women you know in case they haven’t corrected those bad hair habits. I like to add I always love my hair yes I can do my hair but when I was a little girl my mom said my hair wasn’t done it wasn’t fixed and I never understood that and I don’t want other young girls to go through that something that Great information like this is available. God bless.

Charity, I just want to encourage you. You are the only natural hair influencer with this length of hair. I've noticed the most recent trap for natural hair KZbinrs -- that silk press. One after the other has had to do a big chop and start from scratch after heat stretching the natural hair they'd worked so hard to grow. I'm on a natural journey as well and God has led me to some very important things. I trimmed last week and it looks and feels very healthy. Wish I could get my hands on your products but I'm in West Africa 😔 Anyway, I use what I can find. Like coconut oil and rice water. Thanks for the tips. And as a testimony, yes, God does care about hair. The back of my hair wasn't growing. I prayed, and now, it's about mid-back length. God bless us on our journeys!

You really just have to find a salonist who truly cares or adopt a heat protectant method and do it yourself. My hair was dyed red and silk pressed and my texture remained. The colour grew out, so it's fully black now. Had a silk press last August and everything is still normal with curl pattern. Sad that they lost their texture, but being careful is key.

There are others. Here are a few if you are looking for more inspiration: 1. Obaa yaa Jones 2. Indigenous strandz 3. If she so pleases 4. curly proverbs 5. Eugenia Kelcy 6. Natural Academia (she's getting close} 7. Janet Davies 8. Naturally crowned by Novella (also close} These ladies are examples of different textures of long type 4 hair and one with type 3. Sorry I didn't list them according to texture only as they came to my mind, lol.

@@1GoldenBreeze I'm aware of the others. But in my opinion, Charity's hair is unique. Most of the others measure length, but stretched. Charity's length is unstretched. In addition, most have some length, but the health, richness and volume of Charity's hair is unmatched in my opinion. I believe the God factor gave her an extra wealth of hair that I don't see anywhere else.

Mrs. Charity, thank you for sharing your hair growth process and products. I have started my natural hair care journey and I am currently dealing with stagnation "UGH"!! however, I stand in agreeance with you concerning involving God in our hair-growing journey. I have prayed and sought out God's guidance on growing my hair back after damaging it 3 years ago, I/we need God and healthy tips on growing our hair. I wanted to share this scripture I Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. Our long hair is our covering.

I’m glad your channel popped up on my page, the advice you shared about natural hair was awesome 👏🏽 I’ve been natural for some time now but I struggle with growing my natural hair and learning styles that won’t break my hair or cause split ends. So I will be following your advice and praying I can see some results. Thanks a bunch

Your hair maybe quite complicated to maintain but once you study it properly and maintain and nourish it, you begin to enjoy it and see its true beauty. Basically try to study your hair first then see what works for you.

I do all these things and my hair is past bra strap , almost at waist length. I deep condition weekly with Ayurvedic hair oils, powders…. I either do knotless jumbo braids after or bun my hair! I keep my knotless in for about a month and oil scalp daily and spritz with water & rose water
