While the storytelling and portrayal of india is usual western undermining of india and caricature of sorts, but the plot of story is correct that certain american companies have tried this idea of selling their crop seeds and make sure that they get recurring incomes by keep on selling them year after year. Even pepsico has launched a lawsuit against a Indian farmer for keeping few potatoes of its crops to develop new crop and drag him to high court where there appeal was thrown into dustbin. But the point is these companies had tried this from decades to control indian agricultural market its just the Indian govt and courts along with few patriots who are saving us .

This is shocking, there are more factual errors about India than I can count. Firstly, ambassadors are a thing of past, it looks more like a 1999-2001 Era thing. Secondly, hold on Americans, in India, Agricultural Science students don't need to pay for the education. Instead, they are paid by the government to study it. Third, anyways who cares, if you have no idea of how Delhi is different from Chennai, it's not my problem. I think, that old image of a helpless nation is something that Americans love.
