Alamat serves as both ambassadors and educators, and Magiliw are their students. They aim to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of Filipino heritage and culture among its audience, including both Filipinos and non-Filipinos. They are getting ready for a school performance in this MV. The story and lyrics are about longing for the girl even though she doesn’t see the guy just yet. The reason the girl in the music video continued in the unhealthy relationship was that she didn't see her value herself in the same way that Alamat does. The girl chose her abusive and manipulative boyfriend at the end of the video, but the lyrics say "I won't get tired," so the story doesn't really end there because the guy is still waiting. The culture of the Maranao people is being showcased here. (Maranao means "lake people"). All of the performers have a story, but this MV only focuses on the Royal Princess and Prince. When translated to English, the lyrics of Alamat's songs may appear to be ordinary (e.g Queen and King), but in actuality, they often use rare and archaic Tagalog words (e.g Maharani, Lakambini, and Lakan) that are not commonly understood by many Filipinos today. 1. The guy in the motorcycle is Migo Valid, a singer-songwriter and actor under Viva Entertainment. 2. The girl is from the girl group BINI, Jhoanna Robles. 3. Jhoanna’s headdress is called a Sarimanok, a legendary bird from Maranao culture. (Sari - different colors, Manok - rooster/hen) 4. The outfits’ designs are influenced by illustrations from the late sixteenth century Boxer Codex which show how prior to Spanish colonization, gold was lavishly used by the archipelago’s various ruling classes in their clothing. (From Alamat’s post) 5. Their neckties have the Maranao weaving patterns. 6. Their group choreo and music is highly influenced by Singkil. 7. Dance: There are different kinds of Singkil, in this MV it is about courtship. It is considered one of the most golden Filipino dances, and is performed as a ritual for festivals and ceremonial rites of passage by young Maranao women, particularly of noble blood, to showcase their eligibility and agility for marriage. The word "singkil" means "to twist the feet with disturbing objects."

The wooden sticks thing is Tinikling and they were practicing for a school performance of one of the cultural dances in the Philippines. The traditional dance that uses the Tinikling is the Maranao courtship dance called, Singkil. The dance is about a king/prince and a queen/princess. The queen/princess dances for the king/prince as part of the courtship. This dance is from pre colonial Philippines (back before the islands were colonized by Spain; when the islands were culturally closer to Indian culture/rulership/belief/society similar to how Indonesia and Thailand is still today when it comes to their culture) hence why it is performed in cultural festivals in schools there. The dancers for the dance are often students the whole class shipped, the athletic or known dancers of the class, attractive students or the hard working ones. The cool part about this song and MV is that instead of the lady dancing for the man, it is instead the man dancing for the lady. It’s quite romantic and a nice cultural twist

The king is saving the queen, not the queen dancing for the king like a part of courtship. Singkil has a background story, kindly check it out

0:30 "I'm learning Tagalog." Again, thanks so much for the effort!! 2:30 "Why do you never learn?" "So this is about a girl on a abusive relationship." "I'm thinking too much." ✨You're actually 100% correct here, Sis. ✨ 6:00 "Toxicity." True Sis. 👍 I actually have 2 close girl friends and they are on a silent war now because Friend 1 talked Friend 2 a lot of times about breaking the relationship due to the infedelity of her fiancee a lot of times. But friend 2 is afraid to look for another. She felt no one would love her again because she has a little chance to get pregnant. We tried to show her gently how toxic the relationship was with a lot of evidences and possible consequences yet she is still blinded with the fear and that's where Friend 1 snapped out angrily. Thus, declaring the cold war. So that's why I like the twist at the end because that's really happening a lot in the real life. 😂

Guess what? If this is the ending, they might make a sort-of a part 2! Let's hope the saying "good guys finish last" is wrong. Bathala is a pre-Colonial/mythical God, he's like the Odin of one of Philippines' cultures (Tagalog people). The traditional dance they used here is called Singkil (pr. sing-kill), and the "chicken" headpiece is a mythical bird called Sarimanok (pr. sah-ree-mahn-nohk), search wikipedia on what singkil and sarimanok are, search on youtube for singkil dances. The wide tie is a symbol/icon (idk the source, perhaps someone else can provide it). The sword might be a kampilan, KZbin Kirby Araullo's channel (he has lots videos about pre-Colonial/ancient Filipino histories and traditions videos) and Forge in Fire episode about it. The main protagonist in "Trese" uses it too (watch it in Netflix if you have it).

Hi there, hope you can also react to BINI ( the girl in this mv is BINI's leader and one of the lead vocalist ,Jhoanna). Tagalog songs/MV like Lagi and I Feel Good... English songs such as Born To Win(debut song), Golden Arrow ,Strings and No Fear(MTV Asia Jammin) BINI has this duality, their Tagalog songs/mv usually shows their youthful and fresher side and their English songs show their more matured ,girl power side 💖💖💖
