Also, I met my first girlfriend online and she thought I was a girl because my name is Eli. She thought it was pronounced Ellie. She identified as a lesbian but when I finally realized she thought I was a girl I cleared things up and her exact words were, "I didn't think I could fall for a guy." If she really was a lesbian... why did we go out and do the no-no? Just a story I thought I'd share. I'm sure it's different for everyone but she isn't a lesbian anymore. Not after I said, "You are supposed to love yourself enough to the point where you are all the woman you can handle." I mean... what do we call someone who doesn't find his/herself attractive? Insecure or someone who has body issues. I've stopped letting my imagination dictate my reality and in all honesty... people aren't that good looking overall :I So I don't really see the point in the "sleeping with anyone who smiles at us because it's fun" mind-set... So call me shallow (even though my girlfriend, now ex, said she was shallow because she wanted to continue having "fuck-buddies") for thing everyone who really is gay has some kind of issue that affects that decision. My best friend is gay and he had a crush on me for 7 months. He lived in a way where I could see why he justified in his mind that women aren't for him and instead men are... I don't think it's just as simple as "people are born that way". No.... evolution wants us to continue bringing life into the world... I'm not convinced that people are really born that way. I think people must have some kind of influence that pushes them into being gay.

bioshock669 It is a way of being born. Evolution doesn't necessarily dictate how breeding works. If everyone became gay, over time evolution would compensate and make procreation possible. If evolution were for sure to dictate it, then the parts of the brain that control sexual stimulus wouldn't become activated when around someone of the same gender, but it does (in the case of homosexuality).

The only explanation for homosexuality is that people find pleasure out of it.
