Confessa and Diva Dance. Confessa is an Italian song written by Adriano Celentano. He is a famous Italian singer. Beautiful song❤️ and there he shows his lower range. He begins here in Mandarin, then continues in Italian. Diva Dance was written by Eric Serra for the movie The 5th Element with Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman. I don’t know if you know the movie. This song was written for an alien opera singer and was not considered singable for a human voice. Parts of it were computer generated. There a some female singer who performed this song, but in my opinion not as precise as Dimash. And he is a male! Please react to the Diva Dance from his Bastau concert. This version is short but much better. He performed this song on his first solo concert in Kazakhstan called Bastau in 2017. It was after he finished The Singer competition. He was much more relaxed there because it was his concert and no competition. It’s a short one but mind-blowing. What fascinates me the most is, that he sang this song in his concert where he had already been on stage for almost 2 hours. Just unbelievabel🤯. You can react this song with another awesome version of Diva Dance together because it is really short (1.42 minutes). Some other reactors do. The guy near the end you saw is named Terry Lin. During the competition of "I Am Singer" in 2017, Terry and Dimash formed a special friendship even though they were competing against each other. Dimash calls him "Papa Lin". They have even gotten together on a number of occasions to work together since then.

Confessa is normally an Italian song. Did you notice that Dimash did the first verse in Mandarin? He didn't know Mandarin at the time except for a few travel words. So he had someone translate it and then learned the Mandarin phonetically, which is crazy hard to do.

@@MaddyReactions True ! Lol ! My hope is that he will inspire many other young artists to break the barriers of their trade, very much like he has done it so far. Dimash came up with the "popera" singing style, a crosover that would "upgrade/better" the pop music feel and presumably make traditional opera lovers feel cringey about it. As for the later, it so happens that Dimash is classically trained and he is so proficient, that most opera lovers end up finding it interestingly and lower their previously raised eyebrows. The same applies to Floor Jansen, the current female lead singer of Nightwish and also their previous front lady Tarja Turunen, also clasically trained singers (simphonic rock). Crossovers are "the vehicle" that make change possible and progress happen. Thank you for allowing Dimash into your life ! Cheers !

I'd like to clarify something a bit, though, because the internet myth about this song being totally unsingable is simply the result of popular rumor. It's only partly unsingable (even by Dimash), and many other very good singers have covered the singable part, which is the vast majority of the song. // In the original song in _The Fifth Element_, there is a brief section of "Diva Dance" that is computer-generated and IS humanly unsingable. The general practice followed by singers who cover the song is to ad lib that brief section. In this video, that segment begins with the high staccato notes at 6:52 and continues, I believe, until about 6:57. (I actually don't precisely recall its ending point; it may be shorter, ending around 6:54.) Then the song goes back to humanly singable for its remainder. Of course, the whole song isn't singable by just anyone, but there are certainly a number of talented human singers who have done so (not as well as Dimash, I don't think, but hey). // Anyway, with all that said, thanks again for this reaction. This is B-grade Dimash, even by the standards of his 13 performances in the Singer competition - Confessa + Diva Dance being #11 - when he was just starting out. (The performance of Diva Dance he gave a few months later, at the Bastau concert, 2 hours into the set(!!), is much better.) A-grade performances at the Singer include not only SOS (#1), which you have already done, but also Opera 2 (#2), Late Autumn (#4) and Adagio (#6). In so far as you liked the belting at the end of Confessa, perhaps you should head straight for "Adagio." It is not so much A-grade as god level (and in English).
