This hurts. We’re so much alike. My birthday was yesterday and not a single friend cared enough to get together. No family messaged me but my siblings. Thank you for sharing this information. On tattoos, my dad got my mom’s name tattooed on his arm where people can see it… however my mom divorced him and the papers arrived at his barracks after the holidays. He had spent the holidays with us and my mom didn’t even tell him that she had filed for divorce. But my mom avoid him like the plague. He couldn’t come to my graduation due to the nature of their relationship. He’s married and still obsessed with what my mom does . It’s definitely a soul tie. Natural hair, I agree. I’ve been natural since the age of 14. I wore a few wigs for a year when I was 22. I ended up cutting all my hair off and starting over. I got microlocs last April. And I highly recommend if it’s something you can do or afford to get done.

As someone who is in her early 20s I am so grateful for listening to my mom and not having tattoos! It’s so rare nowadays in the states to meet a young person who doesn’t have some tacky tattoo and as a woman placement of tattoos really matter! And some can look good but less is definitely more.
