Best dating advice I've ever received was from my band director when he was lecturing us on PDA during band trips. He said "if you feel the need to act like you're dating, you aren't mature enough to be dating" Basically, if you have to be using pet names, PDA to the max, whatever, at all times, then you shouldn't be dating. At the time, I didn't really understand, but a few years later, after watching friends go through relationships, the more all over each other they were, the shorter the relationships lasted

Some of these questions can be asked the same to men. As a 14 year old male, I have had the temptation to date when I was younger, but now that I've grown a little bit and understood from a distant perspective how dating is(especially other teens my age) I personally have made a rule not to date until sophomore year or maybe even freshman if I feel committed to it. I completely agree that it is something a lot of young people are pressured into and it can take a turn for the worst if the person is not comitted or comfortable. Just to help spread this to others, I wanna say that do what is absolutely comfortable for you! I have set boundaries for myself on what is okay and what is not for my personal life, especially relationships and dating and I think this is something others my age should think about too.

Thanks for your advice! I actually started wearing makeup when I was in 6th grade,(11-12) because I had a ton of acne on my chin and I didn't know how to care for my skin. I had tried concealer, but it never seemed to blend out so I just started out by wearing foundation and nothing else. Now I'm 14, and I don't wear foundation ( finally found a good concealer match ) now I just wear concealer and mascara. It's fun to do highlighter and blush though! If you're starting to wear makeup, just go slow, and know that you're beautiful inside and out ❤ and you don't need makeup! ( but still fun to do!)

@@dormin600 well patriarchy generally just means male dominant. So since our political systems (well most of them) aren't patriarchal anymore. The society's definitely still are. There's a lot of male privilege/double standards and sexism especially in the media. So I'd say most parts of our society is patriarchal
