I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I myself am extremely proud of you for making it through this movie. We literally cannot choose what scares us. It's just how you are, and facing your fear that directly is no small accomplishment

I really admire both of you for speaking English. I laughed along with you guys during Inglorious Bastards when the actress asked if they knew how to speak any other language besides English. It is so true. Some of your English phrases blow my mind. I'm an American and can barely speak English myself. Lol! I love your channel and your reactions. You two are always entertaining. Thank you so much.

00:45 I'm the same! I can deal with spiders rather calmly but cockroaches freak me the hell out. They are so nasty and the palmetto ones are HUGE and to make it worse, they are lightning fast and will fly directly at you, land on you, and proceed to scurry over your body so fast that you can't even tell where it's at. That happened to me once when I lived in Key West Florida. I was at work, carrying two arms full of food out to customers when one of those damn things landed on me. I had to compose myself because I was balancing a bunch of food.

Biggest spider I've seen was an extraordinarily large wolf spider on my reading chair in my bedroom . Legs spread out to be larger than a dinner plate. Explained the dessicated mice in the basement when I moved in. Sleep tight 😴

Me and my wife saw this theatrically when it came out and she hated it. That night she fell asleep, and I took some hair and rubbed it on her face and sang the itsy-bitsy spider song while doing it. We were divorced a couple of years later.😂

Tarantulas do bite. Hard. They sense fear and stress, but they’re more related to crabs than actual spiders. I knew a kid when I was young and his dad had a spider collection. He had a spider named Vlad that was a bird killer. That’s the kind that jumps on the back of a bird in flight, bites the bird in the back of its neck, and kills it. Vlad was in a fish tank so he jumped back and forth creating sheets of webs. When given grasshoppers, he bit them, paralyzed them, tore off their heads, and would hang them in the webs. Thus the name Vlad. It was the most bizarre and terrifying thing I could have ever imagined.

"That's right. I'm bad." Fun Fact: The title of the movie refers to the fear of spiders as Arachno means spider in Greek and phobia means fear. Movie Magic Fact: The animatronic General Spider seen at the film's climax was one of the earliest prop jobs done by Jamie Hyneman, star and co-producer of MythBusters (2003). The dead animals seen on the spider's webs in various scenes, are all fake. Safety Guarantee Fact: The safety of the spiders were paramount throughout the entire production, so for one scene where McLintock (John Goodman) had to spray an arachnid with insecticide, then squash it with his boot, the production went to extreme measures: first, a dummy spider was sprayed. then Goodman donned special boots with a hollowed out sole for the squash shot, so that the spider would just curl up inside and wait for the next take. When dead spiders were needed, the filmmakers used bodies of arachnids that had died of natural causes. Spider Wrangler Fact: The small spiders used in the film were Avondale spiders (Delena Cancerides), a harmless species from New Zealand that were provided by Landcare Research in Auckland. Despite their fierce appearance, this spider is a docile member of the crab-spider family and is, in fact, harmless to humans. They were not allowed back in New Zealand for quarantine reasons. The giant "spider" used in the film was a species of a bird-eating tarantula, which can attain a legspan of eight inches or more. Those types of tarantulas are not easy to handle and can give a nasty bite. The spiders in the film were managed and handled by famed entomologist Steven R. Kutcher.

Oh I’m looking forward to this one, I’m arachnophobic too! October is the scariest month for me because that’s when all the house spiders get big and active where I live, I have to keep an empty jar with me at all times so I can catch them and throw them out. I could definitely never live in Australia - the spiders there are so big you don’t find them in your shoes, you find them WEARING your shoes.

As far as I know, there were no CGI spiders in the film. They were all either real spiders or practical effects (puppets, etc.). Apparently, the real spiders in the film are fairly common in Australia.

Tarantulas do bite. I had one in my sleeping bag crawling on my leg when I was 12. I was terrified & frozen. I cried & my mom said I was imagining it until I moved and it bit me. I came screaming out of my tent & when she shook my bag out it fell out. It wasn’t venomous but it did leave a swollen red knot and hurt a lot. I had nightmares that tarantulas were crawling all over me for years. I’m not scared of spiders when I’m awake except for a tarantula if I feel like it’s going to jump but I try to let them be. We have a lot on our property and see them all the time.

About 25 years ago I worked with a guy who was scared to death of spiders. And he was a big guy, about 6'5 and 270 lbs. So his parents were members of this fishing club called Three Lakes Sportsmans Club in Victoria Illinois. It was an exclusive club with 6 strip mine lakes and only 50 members, really hard to get in to, people had been waiting 5 years to get a membership and still could not get in, the only way to get in is if a member dies. We were both serious Bass fisherman and we had a chance to go fish there, as long as his parents were there on the property, so we go out there and they unlock the gate and let us in. We were both excited because the fishing was really good, and they catch a lot of Big Bass there. So we go to a lake to fish, his Father had a 14 foot john boat there at the lake for us to use, we had a trolling motor and a battery, and all our fishing gear. So we turn the boat over and hook up the motor, and load all our gear. So right as he is about to get in the boat a giant spider the size of a small hand crawls out from under the middle seat, he jumps back and freaks out, then the spider crawls back under the seat. I say what is wrong, and he says he is scared to death of spiders. So I say, ok, let's go and if it comes out I will kill it. Then he says this: I am not getting in that boat until we find that spider and kill it. I am standing there ready to fish, so I say are you serious, and he says yes. I'm like are you fricking kidding me, we just waited a month to go fish there, drove an hour to get there, got the boat all loaded up, and now he is not getting in the boat until we find and kill the spider. So I said ok, I will find the spider and kill it. I tried and could not find it. So after 10 minutes or so I say let's just get in the boat, if we see it I will kill it, and he says no way. Now I am ready to kill him, I am like c'mon it's just a little spider, he says I do not care how big it is he is not getting in the boat. So here we are just standing there at 6am looking at a fully loaded boat, and he will not get in. I am like what do we do now. He says we have to unload everything and go to a different lake and use a different boat. I was like are you serious, he said yes. So because he is scared to death of spiders we had to unload the boat, and load it all back in the truck, then go to a different lake and use a different boat, all because of one little harmless spider.

G'day Ket & Kot , Ahhh Spuders my favourite Aussie spider is the Redback 🕷 🕸 🕷they look like Spider Man in Spider form . The spiders in the film sort of look like Huntsman Spiders they can get to the size of a large dinner plate . Spiders and Snakes I can handle .it's Wasps and Hornets that give multiple bites and sting worse than anything . I hadn't been in my laundry for a while saw 3 wasp nests first day i saw one come and have look at me 2nd day 6 wasps were ready for me 3 day I Came with insect spray I felt bit bad but I need to wash my clothes or I be too stinky . Fun fact the Australian Army names it's army vehicles after venomous creatures . I too have back & leg ailments I feel your pain very proud of you for watching the film here is a Medal 🥇 , Thank you for the posting the film reaction 🎉

Half of the reasons I dig this channel is because we jump right into the movie, it was such a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the mostly unwatchable movie reactors. Were engaged already, you don't need follow the algorithm recipe of open-mouthed surprised face thumbnail pics and bloated intro monologues. I didn't click on the video because you made a stupid face in the thumbnail, I didn't click on the video because of colorful back lighting on bookshelves full of toys, which is so lacking in any individuality. It's a pervasive fallacy that only works on toddlers, whom have zero interest in your channel. I clicked to watch foreigners watch pre-2000's American movies, and I stayed because you didn't annoy the shit out of me. You can do all the streamer patreon bullshit afterwords if you must.
