I think the problem with Elizabeth Holmes is that she's a con artist who even got a jail sentence and not that "she's not good enough feminist"

I think Girl boss was throwing too much pressure on women to be "everything" for everyone and forced to play the man's game and be punished for it. Also I would like to add the extra pressure to women who have one or more children to work and be your own "girl boss" and entrepreneur but also be the perfect mother and manage a household at the same time! We just can't win either way! Great metaphor for the good old (Dead) American Dream being likened to the Titanic! I see it. The Boomers got theirs! Two thumbs up! 👍👍

The pressure is extreme. I look at people I know who are mothers + career women and wonder "How do you do it?" because I'm not that tough and would crumble under the pressure of having it all. I would like to survive the sinking of the Titanic! We all need to work on stringing deck chairs together 🤣

It's nearly impossible to operate in the world of CEO and be a "good" person. The job inherently requires you to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their share holders.

I think it goes back to the guy thing (ironically). There's a saying that men are only respected for "what they give" to society and others. And that determines if they're accepted. Dr. House on TV is a great example of this. He's a cocky asshole. But everyone tolerates him, because he gets results. D. House is nearly untouchable, because what he provides to those around him is almost irreplaceable. The example that a girl boss has to downplay her accomplishments isn't just a girl thing. It's an any person thing. If your accomplishments don't help people, no one gives a shit. No one cares how well you did on a test. But if you said you rescued animals and helped with charity work or organized a fund raiser. People care about the things that affects them. And I've always found this to the be the biggest problem with the gender wars. A lot of women just see "men are successful for accomplishments," and think thaat by doing accomplishments they can get the same thing. But you have to do specific accomplishments. Not just any accomplishments. The accomplishments have to be important TO THE PERSON you want to impress. You can't just do an accomplishment you like, and be sad that no one cares. Good example on the guy side? Some guy can accomplish an incredible video-game feat. But to none-gamers? No one gives a shit, lol. So you have to brag about accomplishments to people who care about those specific things. And then it doesn't matter what gender the person is. Go watch some of those "people are amazing videos," no one cares about gender. If you do something that amazes the audience, they care! ------------- Another fun example is in dating. A woman can judge a man based on his career and income. Because "she gets something from that." Men are taught to share their wealth. So if a woman marries a wealthy man -- she gets benefits from that. Where as if a woman has a career and a high income, most men don't care, because they won't benefit from it. If a woman is very giving and shares her wealth -- then guys will value that more. Furthermore, another problem to this, is that if a woman with wealth tries to date a man with wealth (or makes more money than her), his value of wealth will be lower if he doesn't need it. A man who is full isn't going to buy a hamburger if he's not hungry. But a man who is hungry will absolutely be more enticed by one. So again, it's all about bringing to the table what the table is asking for. ==== Now a real girl boss would bring the table. PRovide everything (like a boss), and then invite others to gather around. People love it when you give and don't ask. Girl bosses shouldn't be asking for things. They should just be giving. Superman and Spiderman are very popular super heroes, and they don't ask for anything. They don't even ask that you know who they are. They like to hide their identity. They don't ask for respect or an ego boost. They just give. Society values givers. If you give, people will love you!

I have to add more no wthat I finished the video. If we want to flow with that Titanic metaphor. Why are women so keen to getting into first class on a ship that's sinking anyways? Girl boss should be something entirely new and innovative. Not just higher up on the totem pole on a sinking ship, eh? I think the reason the girlboss era is dying is because women had the money, resources, and opportunity to do something new, but instead of innovating, they just doubled-down on what the men were doing. It's not that trying leads to failure, but there needs to be some innovation. Maybe the goal should be to make a Walmart or Amazon, but instead of hoarding the wealth, give it back and run their own charity programs. But I think that's the biggest irony of all of it. Men accuse women of being evil, and women accuse men of being evil. And both genders are equally greedy and evil.

This is' the best Video about psycho-social Incompetence what is running since around ?? 40 or 35 Years. YESSS ...so long time. I'm 68 Years, German, have been travelling with very very few Money around the Earth and one of the last very good educated and studied "Hippie-Plants" who wanted to change the World, one of the Girls & Women who fight their Asses of to get the same - or better - Competence as the Man/Males. We were very often succesfull, and I doesn't mean for Money, I am okay, but: after my Generation the Mindset of the next Generations😳 are so different. Some are very nasty, some are silly... OMG !! And the Quality of Education goes down and down. But also the EQ, the Emotional Intelligence... THANK you again - this is' a Video I need and want to share 👍🏻🤗❣️🥰

Hi I love your videos and have been subscribed for awhile. I think the middle of this one is not my favorite. The problem with these girlboss examples is that these women were not only bad feminists they were also bad bosses. They created toxic work environments, lied about their products, and eventually their companies failed. Elizabeth Holmes is literally a criminal she’s not someone who “didn’t pass a purity test”. The middle of the video comes off as defending her. Maybe a better example would be someone like Lizzo or Ellen who were cancelled because they were not as nice as people expected and made employees and guests uncomfortable. There are examples of women in leadership positions who are not abusing their power. A woman who appears to be a great boss and leader is Emerald Fennel writer and director of saltburn. Her cast and crew cannot seem to stop singing her praises for how comfortable she made the set so that everyone could perform their best despite difficult and nuanced subject matter. I think girlboss is a dirty word now because these women you exampled co-opted the term and misused feminism for their own gain. They were not feminists at all because they did not work towards improving the unjust treatment of women in society. Instead they oppressed the women under them.

I think it’s very odd, in your statements about being OK for men to be arrogant you seem unsure. Let me set the record straight it’s not OK for anyone to be arrogant, no one likes it. Everyone hates it including arrogant people. It’s not a gender thing it’s just the way it is.
