Nice video thanks Becky and Jake. Re wet kit in the tent . One thing I find works well. Have two pieces of paracord loosely twisted together. Use them as one washing line in the tent or on the outside. You can open a gap between the two lines and push my socks etc between them, instead of pegs, or just hoping they balance on the line. They will stay in place, even if outside in the wind.

I did a 450-mile hike with my dog and kept my inner tent dry even with bad weather. The key is not packing your inner tent with your flysheet, use separate drybags for your tent inner and outer layers. It is better to have a flysheet first tent, I used the Vango Banshee II Pro.

The Ogwen Valley is stunning, I rode Lon Las Ogwen from Bangor a couple of weeks ago on the mtb, had a pie and a coffee at the lake and rode back. The downhill back in to Bangor was sweet. I recommend climbing Tryfan, my favourite of all the mountains.

Looks like a very wet but fun hike. I was anticipating a Jake vs Cow encounter there for a bit. Sadly tourism can help create ambassadors for the environment but it can also take a toll on it especially when a small but ignorant and arrogant few have no respect for the land and don't leave it as they found it. You made Jake speechless with your question on the quote of the day which I didn't think was ever possible. 😀. As always, I thought you did a great job giving us a sense of place with lots of great shots of the flora and fauna along the way. I also enjoy seeing the process required for a successful trip like this and the various challenges encountered along the way. Thanks!

my theory with cows is don't skulk around the outside. they mistake you as a predator and it can lead to a stampede if just one is spooked. the stampede may be in your direction, as I've appreciated to my cost in the past
