Id say though she didnt feel pain she had a different kind of pain I dont know if that was one of the true plot points of the episode but the way i see it is… Houses main issue in his life, the root of 99% of his problems is his pain and this girls main problem in life is lack of pain. Both wish to be in the opposites shoes for a day. I think it shows that theres different perspectives and grass isnt always greener on the other side just a different kind of struggle

Yes, opposites do have something in common or share something relatable, like the heat and the cold have dryness in common, here House and the girl too share pain in common but a different kind, one wanting to feel what it's like to be in pain and another wanting to feel what's it like to be painless. The polar opposites in this play share something in common, pain and it's also the reason they are distinguished by, funny isn't ? if you think about it, people who are distinguished by a thing are also held relatable to that very same thing.

Played the "back and forth" a lot with patients in hospitals. We tried to add some joking stuff too, but did it to basically understand each others in ER/normal room. (I have a incurable medical condition) Sure it was odd, but at times was the easier way to learn about each other. Wasted many summers being in a hospital for 2+ months. Some patients (if went thru worse) celebrate and said "well so what's my prize"

I highly recommend keeping whatever collection you have, because nowadays streaming sites only purchase show rights for a few languages and for a limited time, so in a year those bought copies might be the only way to still watch the show. As someone who's spent the past 18 years in chronic pain, I've often wondered what might be possible with the stem cells of a CIPA patient. When no neuropathic routes work and nociceptive pain meds take huge doses to have a moderate effect on the pain and a permanent effect on addiction, it would be great to see if CIPA stem cells have any chance of changing things.

These are two characters, who appear from the outside to accept their circumstances but would also swap place in a second. We see this a little in the episode w/ the nerve biopsy thing but iirc its basically just written away because house being able to fix his chronic pain linda undetcuts the point of the show, and I think writing Hannah saying no would have been tough because she probably would say yes.
