It’s Sherlock and Watson all over again. Dangling the prospect of gay love through a staggering amount of references to them being gay and together as well as playing it for laughs at times, but never actually giving them a cannon romantic relationship. I actually like the Holmes-Watson (House-Wilson) ship because it makes for a great romantic premise. Imagine a man so smart and so particular about the way he does things that to everyone else he comes off as antisocial and strange. He of course doesn’t care, and isn’t interested in people liking him. But there’s just one man, who’s a regular person, maybe a little bit cleverer than the rest, that sees what other people don’t see in that person, he sees his wild curiosity and accompanies him in his adventures. The strange man also likes this man, something about his innocence and cleverness makes him a great partner in his adventures. That’s why it would make for a great romance, it’s about two people that just “get” each other like no one else does. The fact that they’re two men is irrelevant, it’s just a good romance

i mean, he does. 100%, not even a question. That doesn't mean wilson hates house, wilson's a bad match for house, or anything else. He does. For sure. That might not mean whatever you think these 'people' are trying to say, however. Hell, they even joke in universe about both cameron and wilson 'needing' broken people to take care of, and house is an abusive, overstepping misanthrope in... Like 95% of the episodes? Not even to wilson specifically, just, in general. So, 'just' the 'house is abusive' statement, duh. Either you're a massive idiot, or you haven't seen the show. Or you're so fucked up you don't understand the concept of 'abusive' in this context. Doesn't need to be beating wilson physically. And, relationships DO have pros and cons. Some shit is definitely a con, doesn't mean it's all bad, nor that wilson doesn't get what he wants out of it anyway. I agree with kitchen dude. Wilson needs house's insanity. Hell, there's a scene where house describes wilson's ideal woman, and not even as a joke, describes himself.

2:44 I would like you all to know that this interaction with "Kate Todd" is what officially pushed me to watch House. And I fucking love it.

I still cannot get over Wilsons breakdown. “You’re making me go through this alone” hits me like a brick every single time

I feel like calling that character Wilson was sort of an homage to the movie Castaway, because Wilson is basically House's volleyball-- a thing to talk at and basically just reflect himself off of (what with House being a narcissist), but then on some other weird and contradictory level, also a thing he actually really loves more than anything else, albeit not really as a human, though he may think that..

I like to think of this as some alternative universe where Neil Perry still ended up as a doctor and gay
