I'm going to cry, I'm SOOOO happy that you loved All Night!! It was my favourite of their double titles for their last comeback, but it didn't get as great a reception in Korea which annoyed me. I was so afraid that you'd hate it because I know you're so sick of retro sounds in Kpop atm. I never even noticed the switch to deep house until you pointed it out! My favourite part of the chorus is actually that it's different each time. Chorus 1 is solo lines from Seohyun, Hyoyeon, Sunny, and Taeyeon, and first half is also kind of delayed (?) in the development of its drop. Chorus 2 is duets (Sooyoung+Yuri, Seohyun+Hyoyeon, Sunny+Taeyeon, Tiffany+Yoona) and the first half adds like an extra clap percussion I think which gives it some extra energy. Chorus 2 also has a call-and-response in the second half. Then chorus 3 is the whole group together and the beat has the most instruments in the whole song + adlibs + call and response throughout. I think it's so incredible. I personally love when choruses are different each time. Each time the chorus comes on it feels like a different party and I find the song so addicting because of it. The fact that you LOVED Party made me soooooo glad!!!! Another song that when it came out people weren't impressed!!!

For me Catch Me If You Can will always be that girl, LOL. Always first or last on my cardio playlist (well a version of it, the Korean version of the song with Jessica’s English bits from the leaked OT9 Japanese version). Lion Heart is....weird. But I find it wonderful. I'm not super familiar with 3rd/4th Generation GGs but I can't imgaine any other group doing something like it and having it be successful. I'm guessing it's because SNSD aren't 'just' singers/dancers, but...umm..complete 'performers', meaning they embrace whatever role the composition suggests, and have the honed skills and personal talents and sensibilities to fit whatever concept they're given.
