And still remember when there was a rumor that SNSD was about to comeback with The Boys, other companies adjusted and postponed their artirsts' comeback to not overlap with them and not be overshadowed by them :)))

Notice that the music is just synth chords/effects and percussion....no melody, no guitar, piano or wind instruments. Half the lyrics are 'spoken' so all together it's not a song at all, but an incantation and a performance piece that wouldn't work as well as it does without the harmonies ( and the attitude). Also notable is that The Boys was released in Korean, Japanese and English, simultaneously and worldwide. I don't think any other K-Pop group/artist has done that, before or since...a testament to SNSD's pioneering of K-Pop as a global music genre.
