It's funny you said the female version of Super Junior because that's exactly what they were created to be. Super Junior female version/sister group. No one could top Super Generation (ship name). They are literally KPOP ITSELF. Kpop owe these two so much because without them it wouldn't have entered the international world.

Yes, they really were meant to be a female Super Junior at first. In fact they were originally supposed to be an 11 or 12 member group and had the working title “Super Girls” but a few members left/were dropped before debut. (Two of them ended up in other kpop groups -Chanmi of Coed School and Soyeon of T-ara) There is a mashup of this with Super Juniors “Mr. Simple” which came out around the same time called Simple Boys and it’s pretty epic.

They did every concept from cute to sexy classy. All of the entertainment companies wants to create a girl group like GG they are known as the total package of talents from visuals, voice, dance and acting etc they can do it all. They are know as the girl group that is savage and crackheads. The first girl group to beat all the biggest popular boy groups in K-pop because the debut in 2007 and boy groups dominated K-pop so much that girl groups can't keep up but GG came and change the game and made everyone appreciate girl group by beating the boy groups in popularity, sales and awards. They made a lot of trend in K-pop. Yoona is the first member of a group in K-pop to have the visual, face, center and lead dancer of the group positions. Yoona is the reason Center position in K-pop became a big deal position she made it a trend. PS. The boys song literally says facts because of the lyrics.
