Once I was on my period in social studies, my male teacher wouldn't let me go to the nurse because I wouldn't tell him why, so I just laid on the floor next to my desk and dealt with my cramps. So my seventh grade science teacher was teaching us the metric unit, right? He said that the difference between a liter and a milliliter was very important. He gave an example by saying, “And you would want to take a milliliter of blood, right? I mean, a liter of blood would kill ya!” And it was funny. I was in a class with sixteen kids, and there were only two other girls in it.
