Zac's house, the RJO one with the reversed entrance and the black roof, is the one that looks most appealing to me. I think I could live in one of those. Ryles' was really nice too! I'd probably put a closet instead of the stackable washer and dryer though, and then put a washer dryer combo under the kitchen counter. DeLeo was so beautiful. Great homes.

I'm with Amanda on the taller cabinet sink area. Im only 5-2 &1/2" tall, and it used to kill my at my old job when it was my turn to wash the huge pile of employee lunch/snack dishes. Just having to lean slightly over a deep industrial sink put me in bad pain for the rest of the day!

Rob really outdid himself with the butterfly joinery! They will look amazing once stained. Randy, could you do a ‘bump out’ screen door/pocket door with a regular sealed door behind? Think about being up on the mountain on a warm spring day and being able to listen to the birds and feel the breeze coming in…. with just the screen door. That would be sweet! What a girl WANTS! 😄

When I wake up each morning I check the weathemr, make coffee and then look for Randy Jones, his dog Ace, and co-worker Amanda of Incredible Tiny Homes in Newport, Tennessee. I would love to downsize to one of their tiny homes. Since I've gotten older (73+) I want to have less to deal with. As long as I have a place to sleep, a kitchen to cook in, a bathroom to clean up in, stairs with storage in them going up to a loft, I'll be happy. I wish someone would build a tiny home community here in the northeast Georgia mountains. I'm sure it will fill up quickly. 👩

Regarding putting a big counter top across the wall, you should move the kitchen window from the end of the wall closer to the bathroom and then the area of wall that would be directly across from the couch would only be wall space for the television.

Once a house is started on you need a dry erase board or something that the last name and size is written on. This could be placed on the tongue you could also list the builders' name too.

All I want for me is a get away spot. My own daytime hideout. Does that sound bad ? Don't get me wrong, but my hubby watches movies 24-7 and I'm bored to death. So i figured he could have the livingroom to watch them while I'm in the bedroom reading or crocheting. If that's even how you spell it lol. Or whatever, praying in peace would be nice. And my son to have a room upstairs for his music and to sleep. He's had surgery and needs more, but would have to stand up upstairs. That's why I wanted to bring the loft down a foot. And a privacy wall for him. Hes been through alot from 16 to now. Plus I'm disabled, can get around with my mobile chair. Its complicated. I have a design..
@susanbeals75972 жыл бұрын
Consider putting his sleeping loft above the living room, with storage stairs that go up to a landing where he can stand, to access a small closet directly in front of the top step/landing, or turn to the side and roll-in or sit on his mattress. The top landing step can be 2-3 feet deep, and it would go above your couch downstairs. It's lower than the rest of the loft (where his mattress rests). That way your ceiling is only lower above the length of your couch. You'd still have loft storage space above the bathroom, could mount the TV off the bathroom wall, facing the living room, and could even put the mini split above the bathroom. High ceilings in the kitchen and living room (except for over the couch), so it feels more spacious.

I LOVE Randy's answer to what girls want when Mandy really pinned him down and ..it starts with 'Mandy , i know so many women...and what he said with that and went on to say after that ...was ...so well said ...For me that really sold me that he really knows and cares ...and would not just say what 'sells'. Then his reaction to what Mandy quoted (a couple of answers to that question from a couple of ladies) ..was hilarious ...(as usual)...lol What a pleasant and fun and informative video (as always). Randy...our last words ...were just perfect...you covered a lot that many in business wish they could say. Some time i will say more why i appreciated it so much...right now i have terrible eyestrain with one eye swollen and bloodshot and won't open lol from watching so many of these in short time...but thank you ...these have so many benefits besides the creativity and quality and energy that goes into them...your personal perspectives , i find something that would make doing business so much more enjoyable too. There will always be critics and always some way to do it better...but what else matters makes it not worth feeding too much energy to those who don't get it...what you are about and what these are...and in the time you have what you can get down and what not... you only need to say that you need more time...it's not about you have to please everyone...it's about you hold up to your own integrity of what matters most...and it's so obvious that you and all those working there DO that. i just love how you are so natural and transparent ...willing to show people who you are and that matters ...and i i think it is better you say it rather than rely on words in emails. too. Your 'rant' today at the end was beautifully transparent and would make me trust your work even more. (that's my opinion If t ..and not how i feel about most professional builders or other businesses ) Sorry for typos...it's hard with one eye swollen .

Good answer darlin. Amanda idea was so quiet, girls do like to have fun. And one day I'm gonna be having fun when your building my butterfly cottage. Great idea, love it. Bow tie, not a butterfly at all...sorry. most ladys love soaking in a bubble bath. Think of a car or truck window with the rubber seals? Could that work? I'm a creative artist, so my idea is having the middle of the barn door cutout and painting a butterfly design on plexiglass because it's lighter in weight.
