In a few stories it was rather obvious. Being sent really suggestive images or being told to actually make advances and "do whatever you want". Ok, I get that those "hints" are really, really clear and missing them is quite hard, but not impossible. Funny stories. All the rest can be summarized as: "Just tell me directly and don't be pissed if you didn't". As many said here already, we don't risk a miscommunication or sex offense, because, unlike how silly it sounds, men ARE convicted for less in court. Heck, some are even falsely accused and convicted due to that. It's better to not get a hint or outright ignore them until you get told to the face directly that she wanna have sex. Or we act just politely as in the other stories here. Not steal more of your time or space, give you the freedom you probably want all the other times in your day when you aren't in the mood for socializing. Just. Tell. Us! The woman from the shower Story: Tells a guy multiple times not to come in. Also her: Wonders why he doesn't come in, after she made it clear multiple times, that she doesn't want to come in. The reward just wasn't worth the risk for the guy. Either she means it, and doesn't want him to come in, or she wants him to come in. It was far less likely, that she wants him to come in, after saying so multiple times, so he was on the safe side, by not comeing in. Missing out on sex is far better, than having to register as a sex offender.

I am one of these guys. Matched with a girl on a "marriage pack survey", which was a gag survey the student gov at my university held (nobody was expected to do anything with matches was mostly for fun). Story 3 is the opposite of a hint. If you make that deal, you're communicating that he's a backup, a second choice, a plan b. There are few things less arousing than being told "you'll do if no one else wants me", especially if the deadline for finding out if anyone else does isn't met yet. Got a small story here. So back in HS, I was hanging out with two chicks at one's place and the other girl was fairly close to me. That day, we had all gone to a hot tub to chill, then after we returned to the other girl's place, showered, and dried ourselves. I went out onto the balcony when the close chick comes out, sees I'm chilly as I'm shivering a bit, then sits on my lap. She was wearing a towel and I have no clue if anything underneath and soon tells me off-handedly that she's not wearing anything underneath. Freshman year of high school I said to my group that my plan after high school was to move to a new country. Girl ended up screaming “no” immediately after and told me “I’m not leaving” well a few months go by and I say it again… same reaction. 6 or 7 friends came up to me to tell me that she liked me. I didn’t believe them. A few days later I hear her say a secret that she likes me to her friend. Her friend went to tell me but she got embarrassed so I downplayed and acted dumb because maybe it was a joke and said “I don’t want to hear it, it’s her secret to tell” More months go by and I final thought “maybe she likes me”. We dated for a few months then we broke it off (I’m terrible with relationships). Senior year rolled around (a year into covid) and our class had to go to the school for an assignment and then leave (we could stay if we wanted to which most did) but I didn’t ‘cause I wanted to get home. She at the end when we were done, chased me down and apologised for how our relationship went, and how we just stopped talking. She then followed me out a different door just to continue talking to me, and I just now (two years past my senior year) got the thought that maybe she was trying to tell me something. Two years ago a friend of mine invited me to her place over the weekend (she lives in another state) and on the first evening she cooked tea, dressed in this see through night cloth and we talked in bed for a few hours. I'm starting to wonder if this girl in my school likes me and I've missed it. Important to note is that we are not friends, we rarely speak outside of asking questions about classwork. Anyway, first couple of years we didn't really get along. Don't know what her problem with me was, but she was rude to me, and caused problems between myself and my friends, I remember her once coming up behind me with her friends, tripping me and laughing as I fell, but I guess she matured and she's really kind now, never rude to anyone. Anyway, last year we ended up sat next to each other in Maths. We didn't interact often, spoke now and then, but nothing major, but there was just little things that stuck out to me. Like one time she's turning to look in her bag and her hair hits me in the face, she turns to me and goes in a rather happy tone. "Sorry, did I hit you with my hair?" but whilst saying it she's smiling. Not a rude or mocking one, but a small, genuine one. Then people started winding her up, saying she likes me, and she claimed to her friends that she doesn't like me and just feels bad for me (I'm bullied). Then for the most part she stopped speaking to me that year. Then this year rolled around and suddenly it seems like she's going out of her way to sit next to me where she can. There was a big mix-up with the Business Studies classes and we originally thought she was in mine, she sat at the desk closest to mine that she could without sitting directly beside me, until she was moved out. Then in Chemistry (we're actually in the same class this time) she looks around where there's a bunch of free seats, she spots three seats at the back next to me and says to her friends to sit there with her, and chooses the seat directly beside me. The teacher decides to rearrange some seats and asks the girl's two friends to move. It's a nice, rather laid-back teacher and a lot of people were moving so she would have been fine with this, but her friends tell her to come sit with them and she tells them, "No, I'm fine," and stays next to me. Now she's sat next to me and if she needs help with work it's almost always me. Also, despite the fact that I'm sat right next to her and there's no way she expects me not to notice, I keep catching her turning and looking at me whenever I'm writing or listening to the teacher. I see through the corner of my eye but purposely don't turn to see if she'll stop,it always lasts a few seconds. When people tease her for liking me now, she doesn't admit it, and she doesn't deny it. Someone says to her what have you done to Jerome, she turns to me and says what's wrong with him, they tell her there's slobber allover my face and she's been making out with me too hard, she just ignores them and is looking at me when I'm not looking and talking to me within minutes. Maybe she likes me, maybe she doesn't, don't know why she would though. I've average in looks, a geek and pretty unpopular/infamous in that school.She's beautiful, popular, kind, smart etc.

I've had a few "miscommunications" in my life 1 was when I was 12 i was staying the night at my friends place it was these apts that had 4 apts 2 were the front house attached front to back & the 1 back apts were attached side to side. Anyways he had 3 girl neighbors that were around my age 2 were sisters age 12 & 13 then another girl that was 13 they all lived in the back apts. I am incredibly dense sometimes. I didn't realize that girls liked me in middle and high school until I was 26 years old. Lots of them, when I thought none did. Turns out they weren't dropping hints, they were giving me instruction manuals. Like girls literally touched me alot( actually made me uncomfortable) also literally fought over me, played tug of war with me as rope( made me very confused😕) also had to bring like 10 extra pens and pencils cuz girls would borrow all of them and put them in their mouths and liked to take my belongings and rub it in that they had my stuff. When I wore my JROTC uniform I would get touched or molested by girls all day. Girls would wait for me outside of a class even though they had to rush down the hallway to intercept me. The teacher always made me sit with groups of girls that liked to touch and giggle at me( which sucked because I wanted to sit with my friends). Girls constantly sniffed me and said I smelled good( bruh thanks, but kinda creepy). Some would try to share their lunch with me and made me stuff, cookies and gifts. I had to bring an extra hoodie to school because girls would say they are cold and wanted my jacket to wear or for me to " warm them up"( my thoughts were this poor girl doesn't have a jacket in November and let her wear it even though she was 2 inches taller than me and her bust wouldn't let her zip it up all the way). Then other girls got jealous and I would have to let Girls borrow my hoodies and jackets everyday until late spring. I would get touched alot, like everyday. Usually my arms, shoulders, run their hands down my neck and back. Sometimes they would quickly grab my hands and then laugh. One girl who sat behind me in spanish class touched me everyday, like she would play with my ears, and run her hands against my neck and shoulders. Everytime we had worksheets or tests to pass up to the front row( I was the front) she would not hand it over my shoulder like anyone else, so I had to turn around in my chair and took her in the eye and play her game with her everytime until she gave it to me and then she giggled with the other girls right next to her. Another one sexually assaulted me in engineering class when I was using a dangerous saw. She took advantage of me spreading my legs apart and back out of the way to reach around me from behind and grope my package ( I literally freaked the fuckout jumped and punched her in her boob).Girls would drop stuff and ask me to get it for them and they would get all excited when I did. When I was a sophomore in high school, senior grade Girls would flirt with me and rub against me. When I rolled up my sleeves the girls would go absolutely crazy and I would be like😕. Girls always wanted clothing items with my smell. On uniform JROTC days I would take my uniform jacket off in the classroom or gym if it was warm and Girls would grab it and either put it on or hold onto it so when I got back they would smile and make me ask for it back( some asked if they would look good it or if they could take it off me, whilst others read my last name on the tag and asked if they would sound cute with my last name, some just giggled when I gave em attention and asked for it and blushed). Girls got shy, blushed and ran away alot too. When they saw me be nice to other girls, lots of these girls would get jealous and get angry at me and whoever girl I was talking to. Girls would stalk me home or wait for me outside of school. I went over to my friends house to play video games everyday after school and this one girl would be waiting outside when I left his house to walk home and would follow me I tried to avoid her because she would throw a football at me or kick me with a soccer ball or even sock me in the arm and get angry at me just for walking home and not playing with her even though the street lights were coming on. She was also a pyromaniac cuz she liked burning stuff. Another girl would wait for me on the different paths I took to get to school or go home, and would wait for me then act like it was a coincidence that we ran into each other even though she was waiting for me but would never admit it even when I called out her lies. In my mind most time I was like" huh girls are freaking weird. She's touchy. Oh wow she's being really friendly today. Oh a ton of compliments, ok. She just likes walking home with me. Oh how weird, well anyways back to what I was doing." However other times especially in high school, I did feel the hints and didn't want to take it the wrong way or be creepy so I acted like I was oblivious. Or didn't want to reject them so I defacto rejected them by doing nothing.

These types of hints would have worked two decades ago. But, in the current climate of social justice warriors and the constant feminist extremist hate of men in general, it doesn't benefit a man at all to make assumptions on something that MIGHT be a totally obvious hint. So, we always air on the side of caution and don't act on the hints, even if they might be blatantly obvious. Women, a word of advice, state your intentions clearly. If you're interested in a man, just tell him straight to his face. No playing coy. No subtle hints. No innuendos. Walk up to him, tell him you find him attractive, and state your intentions clearly. The literal worst a guy will say is that he isn't interested or he will politely say he already has a significant other. He won't be offended, in fact, he will likely be flattered at the interest. If you clearly state your interest and intentions, THEN you can start dropping flirty hints, because all the doubt has already been removed from the equation and the man will feel safe to approach you without fear of ridicule, slander, or being labeled a creep.

This story of mine is good, let me dive into it So, I was on my graduation trip of 9th grade (I’m not american, we do this in Brazil) on this hotel on a beach with many friends and people from other schools and other cities. I was 15 and had started playing volleyball around two years before, and I took my trainings seriously, so my physique was pretty nice (even though my 1,70m short ass didn’t help me play it), and there were people playing by the beach, so I joined them. There was this girl who was just WOW! At first glance I almost genuinely slipped a “christ on a stick”, but managed to hold myself down. I played on her team for a bit, and we talked a lot between points, when she even complimented my plays and perfomance Later that night, we had a party for all students, and I was committed to talk to her if we could kiss. The party started, and I couldn’t find her. At. All. I looked for her, but she was nowhere to be seen, until I finally caught a glimpse of her walking around. I made way through some people and poked her shoulder to see if she’d look, but she didn’t. Welp, at that point I had given up, but some time later, I felt a poke on my shoulder and there she was. We started chatting like nobody wanted anything, and when I was gathering courage to ask her, she just said “when you’re going to kiss me?” to which, I replied “Y’know, I just made the same question for myself.” We made out and it was great, unfortunately I never talked to her again, but it is a funny story, because even now, many years have passed, AND I STILL NOT KNOW what hints she dropped that might have given me signals she wanted it before.
