As a man, I have two things. 1: don't get mad if a man does something gentlemanly for you. Hold open the door, give you a seat, pay for the check. He isn't saying you can't do it, he's being polite. 2: If you wear a shirt with text on the front, do not judge any men for looking/staring at it. I never know whether I should risk reading it and get caught seemingly looking at a girl in a suspicious way. I just wanna read the shirt 😅

I can support that us men are oblivious to all hell. A girl in my P.E. class held my hand to her breast and went "look how fast my heart is beating" found out about a year later from one if her friends that she had a crush on me. That's when I realized how oblivious we all are.

I had a girl (coincidentally also in my PE class) that came up to me with her friend and asked which one I liked better. To this day I still don't know if this was some kind of trick question or hint that I don't understand, like I actually had a huge crush on her so I would've picked her but I didn't want to say that in front of her friend and hurt her feelings.

This goes for both genders. Rape is rape. Its a horrendous thing no matter the genders involved. Enough with the "you should stop thinking that you lucky guy" its fucking dehumanizing in my opinion. Throw double standards out of the window. I should be allowed to vent but I can't because of a feeling that it will make me look weak or unsuitable, or it will be used against me. Stop laughing when a guy gets hit where the sun doesn't shine. That hurts like absolute hell for an extended duration.

“Rape is rape” very simple way to put it but so true like just because he’s a guy doesn’t mean he can’t get raped. I had a friend (key word HAD) who clams they got raped in a video game and clings to that as getting raped while I have a friend who was genuinely got raped and it always annoyed me to no end but the thing that made us no longer friends was when she said I was going to rape her and everyone else in my friend group because I talked about being scared of being too forward with my girlfriend. Safe to say she ruined that friend group because she was saying a tone of lies and was twisting my words. Surprisingly the one friend I kept was my now ex girlfriend because she saw all the “evidence” which was me making sexual jokes to my then friend about how I found (my now ex) really hot and so on. Safe to say tho if I said it was her who wanted to rape everyone no one would bat an eye which makes me really mad because I had known her for 3 years

The “male privilege” story near the start hit home with me. I also grew up with very little, had to walk everywhere, started working at 11, did a lot of fishing off the beach not because I enjoy fishing but because we had no protein for the rest of the week, saved up for a year to buy a bicycle which finally helped to actually start getting ahead through better accessibility. So many people in my school year told me I had things so easy because I’m male, they had no idea of how difficult my life was.

When it comes to women dropping hints it seems obvious in your head but sometimes they aren't that obvious. I've heard of girls complaining how some guys won't pick up on a hint however if she didn't intend it to be a hint and it was just a random girl that guy would have been hit with charges. For example there was a story I heard a while ago and this girl told a guy hey the bathroom door is broken, do not come in.... She was surprised he didn't come in. It puts men in a bad situation if they misread a hint and end up with a charge so it's best to just take it at face value

She's flirting and then you try to act on it and you see her change up real quick smh. Afterward you feel like a fool for taking her flirting seriously. So when a girl that actually likes you is dropping hints, sometimes it doesn't register because you've been accustomed to women that just like to play games wit u.

18:19 A lot of men in relationships don't bother with making appointments, organizing holidays, shopping for the house, childcare, elder care, etc. because if he "does it wrong" the woman will incessantly nag and criticize him about it. She then ends up doing it "right" (i.e. the way she wants) while accepting little to no input from the man. After which the man figures what's the point and gives up - why bother doing any of those things if she's just going to erase all your work and re-do it according to her own specifications? If you want the man to do these tasks, you have to let him do it his way. Even if his way of doing it is not your way of doing it, if it gets the job done then there's no real problem. And obviously the same applies in reverse too - if you're letting / making the woman something all by herself, then you really have no grounds for criticizing her work. (I had to learn this when I became a manager. I had to resist the urge to micromanage, and let the employees under me finish their work their way. Even if it wasn't the way I would've done it or I thought they were doing something inefficiently, the important thing is that the job gets done on time, not how it's done.) Ideally you'd work on it together so both of you have some input on the final outcome. But if you're going to delegate certain tasks to one person, you need to let that person complete them their way. If you want it done your way, you should be doing that task yourself and giving your partner a different task.

2 things from a man. 1. Be straightforward about your feelings. We are tired of your "hard to get" games. Just tell me you like me. If you're willing to flirt with me and things, you might as well ask me out so I know you're serious about this. A lot of women just flirt to get reactions out of us and not because they actually like us, so being straightforward helps us a LOT. 2. Stop ghosting people after YOU GAVE THEM YOUR NUMBER. This is why I don't ask women out anymore. Every time I get a girl's number, I try to start a conversation but they never reply. Sometimes the women asked for MY number and still don't initiate anything. If you truly wanted to be with me, *prove it.* If you're wondering why men find it "so hard to find a woman" THIS is one of the few reasons why.

I'm a male and I'm 26. 90% of reported sexual assault is perpetrated by men. Ok. Now what about unreported? Spoiler alert, almost half of men face sexual assault as adults and or as children perpetrated by who? Women. 😮 Men and women. Humankind. We are too sides of the same coin, women are just as capable of doing evil as men are... and they do, just nobody talks about it. But nobody gives a shit because nobody cares. As Men, we don't like being perceived as the victims in our story. We are supposed the strong one, the pillar, the cornerstone. I agree that men should be strong, but we just shut up and lock down our burdens, which can go very wrong if not handled properly. There is a big difference between emotional intelligence and just bottling it up. Women LOVE attention. If a woman is the victim of any circumstance, what does she get? ATTENTION. So it gets reported and talked about, CONSTANTLY. There are support groups, hashtags, just about everyone hangs your every word if you accuse a man of literally anything. Personal example. I was 8 y/o and I had a 15 y/o female babysitter. She would make me touch her, perform sexual favors. And she would do the same to me. She would also threaten me to be quiet and not say anything about it OR ELSE I WOULD BE THE ONE IN TROUBLE. Like it was MY fucking fault. I was afraid and so I kept quiet, never told another soul until I was in my 20s. This went one for about a year until they moved away, she babysat me multiple times a week... To any guy out there who thinks "ooo lucky guy, I would kill to have that happen to me." Shut your f***ing face. To any women who think to themselves "pfft men can't be victims of sexual assault. You probably liked it." Shut your f***ing face. It traumatizes us too and made me incredibly awkward around girls. I wouldn't even hold hands with or kiss a girl until highschool. I had multiple prescriptions for depression and anxiety as early as 12 or 13 because of this. To this day, if I were to bring it up and press charges against this person. Not one finger would be lifted, there would be no one supporting me or choosing to believe my testimony. That person is married now and has children of her own... mortifying. I know. In highschool, there was a massive overcorrection where I overcame my past but was filled with a lust and an overpowering sense of longing. I was a flirt, I could say anything and do anything to get girls in school and in my young adult life to sleep with me. I consider myself an above average looking guy, I was very fit and toned. I had a six pack, fairly big arms, big chest. I played football, wrestled, took difficult PE courses literally called Advanced strength and conditioning. Which was almost like boot camp. I was 6ft and 175 lbs (still am) I challenged my friends and girlfriends to punch my abs to see if they could get me to wince, flinch or even move. Everyone would laugh because it sounded like they were hitting a bag of concrete. I had game. I didn't have too much difficulty having and keeping girls around me. But there was a heartbreak and an anger within me that I didn't know was there, I hated myself and sought to be sought to fill this void within me through sex. As a guy, you constantly hear about how bad men are. How bad you are for existing for our whole lives. I went through life seething about this societal hypocrisy. My experiences contradicted many things society narrates and stereotypes about men and women. I was bitter and hateful. Fast forward 5 years. Things are better now, I'm 26. Single. Been to therapy. Not lonely but happy with my career, who I am as a person. I've forgiven myself for the hearts that i ve broken in my previous relationships and the person who hurt me. I'm keeping my ear to the ground for the right woman. I just want to love and be loved. I still want to be the strong one for her as I should be. If I have children, I want to be protective and never let what happened to me, happen to them. If that is all I achieve as a father, I will die happily.

1. Wearing low cut tops and expecting me not to look down your shirt. You don't need to be wearing a turtle neck to properly cover your cleavage but if you have anything with a lower next line than a regular T-Shirt it's pretty much impossible for me to look anywhere in your general direction without seeing down your shirt. I'm tall, I have to look down just to make eye contact with you, it doesn't mean I'm looking directly down your shirt but yes it is in my light of sight which is why I tend not to look at you at all. 2. Do not touch my chest or ask me to take my shirt off in a public place. I might be a man but if I did those things to you without your consent I'd be arrested. Equal rights works both ways so if you wouldn't want me doing it to you then don't do it to me either. 3. Stop assuming that if a man doesn't like a female character that it's ONLY because she's a female. Some people are genuinely just sexist but they're the minority. Not every criticism has to do with gender and when someone has a legitimate complaint about the writing that has nothing to do with gender, stop dismissing it by accusing them of sexism.

For Number 3 part of the problem is that many of these characters are written that way because they are female. For example, the stereotypical sitcom dumb dad. People are getting sick of that being the only (most common) version of a father they see on tv and so they dislike that depiction. In other shows the men are written to be wrong for absolutely absurd reasons while the women are right and in some cases are only right by technicality or for something entirely out of their control and was either luck or chance. As a result you have primed audiences to already expect these traits out of female and male characters. Its like with gays or lesbians on tv shows, whenever a problem comes up in the episode which affects them the root cause it because they are gay or whatever, it cant be anything else but always that some straight (white) man or woman is oppressing them. When the character has trouble paying rent or getting a mortgage, it isnt because they have a low paying job, terrible with saving their money, bad credit history, but that the bank or landlord are evil bigots. If that even happened to 1% of 1% of the real gays and lesbians then it doesnt explain why 90% of plot lines use this.

Get of here with your nonsense.

@@RialVestro its fine you dont understand what it means when, these characters are written that way because they are female, since you likely dont understand the process for creating a character in a writers room and script design. What happens is all these little annoying nerds sit around a room and bounce ideas off each other for what a character says and does, what they dont like is not used and what they do moves on to maybe make it into the final script. So when they design a female character a LOT of traits get thrown away, she cant be weak and get saved that would make her a damsel in distress. If shes a house wife she cant like it otherwise shes reinforcing the patriarchy by implying women belong in the home. And you do this over and over for whatever curre t grievance is popular and you can drastically reduce character originality since every character is now pulling from the same small pool of "acceptable" traits. So they are seen everywhere and thus reinforced as the only acceptable way to write a character.

They ask me if I have Instagram and or Snapchat and because I'm one of the rare people who barely use their phone for anything other than phone calls and texts, I say no. Being genuinely honest. They explain that their friend wants to know if she can have my socials and again I explain I actually don't have any. I guess they then presumed I was rejecting her because they gave up and nothing more came of it. This means that some people just assume everyone has a social media account of some kind. Then when asked if something indeed went wrong here, they just put on a polite smile and say everything is fine, then proceed to never talk to me again and burn the bridge so goddamn fast. Toilet lid goes down before you flush (you can just leave it down after). Flushing causes a fine mist of water particles (and whatever was in the water) to shoot up into the air, and rain down on everything in the bathroom. Including your toothbrush if it's the bathroom by the bedroom. Before I knew about this, I used to have a dog which liked to drink out of the toilet so I always asked guests to put the toilet lid down after use. It was almost always women who left the lid up. Not really their fault. Guys are frequently asked to lower the toilet seat so are used to fiddling with it after use. Women are used to just leaving the seat down after use, and are more likely to forget doing extra work after using the toilet. But in my equitable "test" of being asked to do something with the toilet seat after use, men were better at following instructions than women.

11:02 Imma be honest here. As long as a woman isn't in like a small street at night with no one around there is no reason to try "not to get murdered". The public will ALWAYS help a woman who is screaming for help. So if you don't want to talk to a man just don't laugh at his jokes and dont smile, or, and I know this sounds unbelivable, tell him you don't want to talk. I legit don't get why this is so hard for some women. Don't be arrogant or agressive, just say: "Sorry, but I really don't want to talk to you right now." And if he asks why just say (still friendly!) "Thats none of your buisness. Just leave me alone, ok?" If a man doesn't leave you alone after that, ask someone for help. If you are too scared then just call the police. Say there is a man who just doesn't leave you alone and do it while he watches. If he STILL doesnt leave then just ask the police to have a talk with him (not on your phone but in person obviously!). Say where exactly you are and start describing the man. Then either he finally leaves or the police will come and handle the situation. If at any point the man comes close or seems very intimadating just try to keep your distance and, again, very suprising, tell him to leave NOW. If he approaches you after that you should probably run and scream. That man aint gonna annoy you or ask you for a date. He's defenitly up to some bullsht.

I’ve seen one. At my work place, no less. I’ll see women slapping each other on the ass, telling another woman they have a “dump truck”, or making lewd comments about men they find attractive. But then they double back, and they say, “I was trying to adjust my pants, and I saw X checking out my ass. It was so creepy.” Let’s not lie ladies, some of y’all are just as grody as some of us; but for some reason it’s considered more acceptable coming from you. Either sex is an okay and open topic or it’s not, don’t tell me it’s fine when you do it but not when we do it. Also, thank you to the guy who mentioned being out at night. Crime statistics show men are twice as likely to be the victims of most violent crimes, but _we_ get lectured on how _you_ don’t feel safe, because “most crime is perpetrated by men.” Yeah, it is. Yet the criminals still seem to have a bias toward victimizing their fellow man over a woman. Don’t lecture me about feeling threatened by a potential criminal in the night, when I’m at greater risk than you are. A news agency tried the same rhetoric with female reporters, stating that the number being killed on the job rose to 11%. They told people to “stop targeting women”, despite the fact that they ignored the flip side of that statistic, that 89% of those killed in the field were men.

A very important element in that reporter stat is that a third of journalists are women. If they were 11% of numbers and 11% of deaths, it would make sense, but since that is not the case, women can definitively be marked as under represented in dead journalists.

@@AByteofCode Yeah, you’d figure that if they make up 33.3% of the work force in that industry, they’d make up 33.3% of the deaths in the field. But it seems like women are targeted less when it comes to crime. It’s rare to be the victim of a crime either way, depending on the area your in. But I constantly get ladies at my work talking about how they’re scared to walk to their cars at night, which aren’t very far from the building and in a nice area no less; when I’m twice as likely to be victimized but I still park at the back of parking lot. I get not everything is equal, but that doesn’t mean that the ladies are _always_ the ones who got the short end of the stick. But for some reason, some people act like they always do.

@@Nikolai_The_Crazed I often get women complain to me they're afraid of walking alone in the street because they're women. In the meantime every day to go home from school I walk an hour in pitch darkness on a dirt road while on high alert and I never complain about it. I understand there are physical differences and I probably have a better chance of fighting someone off than a girl, but also that difference doesn't really make matter much against a weapon or someone who's actually strong.

This list goes for both sides; 1) Quit playing head games. Ladies, quit pretending to hit on men and quit pretending to be interested in them. If you really like them, and I'm not talking "as friends", then see if they're interested in you and if they are, then be with them. If you don't like them, then leave them alone. Guys, same thing that I said to the women. People have feelings too. 2) Respect boundaries. Don't go being a stalking creepzoid following someone online or IRL and harass them. It doesn't matter if you like them or not, if they say "leave me alone" then leave them alone. Don't go giving some BS sob story like "my girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend and I'm lonely" because A) Nobody cares and B) That's no excuse to stalk and harass someone. 3) Quit fabricating stories and accuse someone for something they didn't do. If it did happen, then by all means speak up. If it didn't happen, then shut up. It's ridiculous that innocent people are being punished for things they didn't do. Go after the real guilty ones. 4) Quit playing "gender superiority". Women can do a lot of the same shit men can do. No one is superior to the other. 5) Quit cheating on each other. If your relationship is falling apart, try to fix it. If it can't be fixed, then break-up and move along. It hurts a lot less than cheating.

As a girl myself I can say that women sometimes overdramatize that it's worse being a woman. Men also have problems and not all of them are bad. Some women say that they are stronger than men. Some men say that they are stronger than women. No matter the gender we are all equal. I might have said something wrong in this comment, but the main thing that I mean is that women are women, and men are men.

I wish people in general (especially women) would stop thinking with negative emotions and letting it control them. And while we’re at it, quit antagonizing people.

What do I wish they'd stop doing? Assuming they're worth it without any effort or directly trying to do anything. Ive had countless girls trying to date or get me to do stuff for them and say "well I'm a girl so that's enough" just for me to turn around and say "you're a human. Race and gender do not matter. If you want anything find a way to get it without expecting to give something in exchange. Nothing is free for many men or women"

I wish for young women (18 - 22) to stop making OF accounts. Reducing themselves to a sexual object because they refuse to get a real job. Have some pride and don't sell yourself for a portion of a meal.

15:12 I just always have the lid down. It’s basically the house hold norm and both my parents and girlfriend are fine with it (my girlfriend lives with me seeing as it was recently discovered her psycho mom was very mentally unstable and her dad is an extreme alcoholic and very abusive so his father is in a treatment facility and her mother is in the looney bin. The reason I live with my parents is neither of us are 18 yet. Plus when I go to a college/university my parents want me to live at home so I don’t have to spend money on any living accommodations and can focus on spending it on school supplies and enrolment in the first place. And yes my parents are respectful enough to give me money for various feminine products so my gf doesn’t have to talk about it with my parents and they also support us if we were to get intimate with our relationship. Honestly I’m very lucky for all of this and I recognize that odds are there may be only 1 or 2 humans on the planet who are just as lucky and for this I wish you all the same luck or even better luck going forward… except for Greg. Still don’t like what he tried to do to my cousin.

3:56 this one example really puts me off. Like, you can not have sex, but still love someone. Paying for food is such a miniscule cost, and it makes you seem like you only date people for the sex and dont want any actual commitment. Completely made me stop taking him seriously after that one

As a man, if you women can't stand how we forget things that you've told us or things you want us to do, there's a really good reason for that. You're talking too much. And I'm not trying to be a misogynistic asshole guy for saying that, but it's the truth. Women speak how many more words than men a day? And when you factor that an average human can only retain a small fraction of all information that is thrown at us every single day, yea, we are going to forget crap. Don't take it personal.
