The 7 minute version on “Out of Control” is even better, the song’s given room to breathe, their vocals don’t sound so slapped together (they should’ve re-recorded this version entirely, it’s so obvious it’s been just cut together at parts because the music and their vocals almost jump?) and there’s an instrumental bit in the middle with this almost melancholic guitar, it’s beautiful, just a masterpiece of a song. For me, I always listen to that, and it actually feels about the same length as this. For all the charting it did, and it being their final single, they should have just put out the 7 minute original, and made an entire short film of this meteor video, like TaylorSwift did with “All Too Well” when she re-released it.

Why did this song not blow up in 2009?! It is THE MOST UNDERRATED SONG IN THEIR CATOLOGUE. It has dept and is a cross between a ballad and dance track which is beautifully atmospheric. It's actually good have a song that has dept and sounds alternative. The video for this was epic and actually tells a story. One of me best Girls aloud song ever.

It's because It was their first single that didn't chart on the Top 10 in UK,ending their streak..thus the récord company stopped promoting and supporting It on radio and live TV, plus there was other stuff happening with the group and especifically cheryl during that era that i don't remember now..

They where actually at the end of there promotion cycle for there last full album out of control, they had already gained there number 1 hit with that album in there single the promise and there top ten hit in Loving kind. Realistically this version kind of always just felt slapped together and rushed compared to the album version. Plus there was some other factors playing into why it didn't crack the top ten like there other singles, I mean fans tried to get it to rechart a year later but it failed, the public just didn't seem interested in this version of the song.

I lost my beloved sister in law Donna (teacher not much older than Sarah) to this awful Covid pandemic a couple of months ago and my hubby's and my heart are still coming to terms with this. Unpopular opinion but it’s fitting this song was the one to end it all. It’s great and one of their best singles but it resonates so well with it being so nostalgic and the video consisting of them literally falling from stardom while their bubbles disintegrate and they all have embraced that idea ready to move on. It’s like their team knew this was the last one. It even peaked at #11 of all places.
