Girls Dig Mustangs If you’re into speed, I suggest you put in 4.10 gears, bigger throttle body with cold air intake, and underdrive pullys. Should cost you less than 1000 with installation and it makes a BIG difference in acceleration. You can get to 300 hp with those mods.

American muscle just did a basic bolt on build with a 2000 automatic. Went from 222 to 249 at the wheels. So 249 x 1.1764705 is about 293 before powertrain waste or loss if manual. Automatic supposedly lose more maybe 20 vs 15% so that put it at 300 about. I made a replica on Forza to see how accurate it is.

The clutch in your fox is a cable clutch that's why they feel different..the cable stretches and needs adjustment once in a while but love your tangs now you get to learn how to work on them..have fun doin it..I know I love working on my white 92. The rear visor is aftermarket..get rid of the spacers if you can..don't care for them! Leave the exhaust alone thow..sounds awesome. Have fun! 👍👍✌

Girls Dig Mustangs well so far I did 373 gears,Adjustable coil overs, short throw shift, new clutch kit from American muscle, 03/04 cobra wheels(gloss black)17x9 up front with 245s and 17x10.5 with 315s in the back, and an air aid cold air intake....oh and 12in glass packs lol...pretty loud but I like it...I’ll do a full exhaust from the long tubes back and a throttle body plenum from acufab. Then tune it and that’ll be about it...I’m going to buy an 11-12 coyote soon so I don’t wanna dump too much into this one. I love my 02 gt though that’s why I’m keeping it and mildly modifying it.

I like it! White looks sharp on this style Mustang especially the GTs. 2004 was probably my favorite year of this style not because it's the last of them but because 2004 was a good year for me and I remember seeing the anniversary edition displayed at Chappel Hill Mall out in Akron OH with my Dad and I got to sit in one. The piece on the back window is a deflector and yes it helps with water, but far as cars go it is really not helpful that much and I'll agree it can go lol. I clearly remember that this style mustang had same style steering wheel as many Fords at the time and told my Dad it had same as our 96 Taurus, even the leather seats were very similar styled too to our car.

Thats a roof spoiler, you should be able to take that off. I bet it has a flowmaster exhaust if I had to guess. The shift knob you found in the floor is the original one, its longer than the cobra so thats why you see the threading. The SN95 in that body style is what made me want a mustang as a kid and its for sure my favorite of yours.

If the front rims are wider than stock, depending on the backspace, the spacers could be to keep the tires from rubbing on sharp turns. So if you remove the spacers you will be able to tell by having the windows down and driving. Sometimes there are rub marks on the inner fender panels. Some owners like the look of the tires "sticking out" the same amount front and rear, so the spacers are only there for looks.

The squeak is the throw out bearing , you need to adjust the clutch from the firewall adjuster. If there’s no firewall adjuster then use your foot to click upwards on the clutch pedal for adjustment. Most likely the fix ! Good luck love vids

Girls Dig Mustangs yes it’s a cable on right side of engine , if it looks like it has a twist knob then turn it counter clockwise until it won’t turn anymore which should be a full adjustment. Do it while engines running you should hear the squeak go away

Btw I believe that is flowmaster mufflers. I think it’s stock manifolds(headers) and midpipe . But catback sounds like flowmaster. Look at mufflers more toward middle of car

When replacing the clutch it is a good idea to do the pressure plate and the throwout bearing at that time. that is how i have always did it. Nice car by the way i bought my wife an 04 anniversary edition.

Miss my 04 gt. Do the right mods they can run pretty good. Gear, exhaust, tune, drag radials, cold air will get you a nice 13.3. 04 is a really fun one to drive. Congratulations. Aftermarket h pipe and flow masters is the best sound.

Yes true you have to drop the transmission to change the throwout bearing I had to do that on my Mustang GT they go bad quickly I only had 600 miles when I had it changed mine but roll down your windows put the car in reverse and backup slowly and listen to see if you hear two clicking sounds that also well mean your throw out bearing is bad but congratulations on the new car. You are becoming addicted to Mustangs great feelings, congratulations good luck😁🍾🍻

Beautiful car. I love these mustangs. How is this excited if not more excited when I got my mineral Gray 02 mustang GT about 7 months ago. I will say I do believe that exhaust is stock unless it's a quiet aftermarket muffler. My mustang has a stock mid pipe and the stock cat-backs but it has flowmaster 40 mufflers and it's actually quite a bit louder than this car so judging from the color of the muffler and the tone of the exhaust, it's most likely a quiet flowmaster muffler. Very nice car though. Side note: the wheel spacers are too big but it does look nice when you put like 9 in deep dish wheels at the back so the outer rim and tires stick out on the back closer to alignment with defender because stock it looks like the back wheels are too far in, the fronts are usually fine though. Also a side note those Wheels do look way better than the ugly factory ones so if you just get rid of the wheel spacers it should look gorgeous, also, 2004 is the only 40th anniversary edition, all the other mustangs from 99 to 03 have regular GT badges.

The black GTO plastic strip across the back window is called a rear window vent visor. Doesn't really serve any purpose. Either you like them or you don't. Looks decent on there, but I wouldn't blame you if you removed it. It can make it a little tricky cleaning the top of the rear window with that installed.

Yeah you gonna have to fix the offset if those wheels,...and I always hated the wheel gap on these too. Gonna have to give it a bit of a lowering job. Not too much though. Otherwise,..I think you done good. It sounds super solid. Throw out bearing noise just like your SN95. I wouldn’t worry about it though. It has flowmaster (dronemasters) mufflers on it. They are either the 44’s or the American thunder ones. So it’s still pretty tame. If you want it louder then definitely get an off-road midpipe. They sound good but say hello to drone. As for the rear spoiler on the window it definitely has to go. The wheel look cool but definitely needs to get lowered.
