A clutch quadrant is so worth the money, I went through 4 throw out bearings within a year and paid two different shops to fix it, so I bought the quadrant, cable, fork, firewall adjuster and pivot ball + a new throw out bearing and the only problem I have had is the bolt that holds the cable in place came lose so the release point kept changing, but once I got it tightened up and adjusted it's great haven't had any problems with it

My expectations on power is pretty low. Mostly because the most amount of power I’ve touched was 285hp from a 4.3 v6 sierra. I also have a 96 Chevy pickup with the 350 small block. But my dream car has always been a mustang and 260hp sounds perfect for me and I can still add more power if I want to.
@kontrah26814 жыл бұрын
This is literally one of my "dream" cars. In my country, we got al the mustangs, EXCEPT the 99 - 04 mustangs. We get lots of 94-98 stangs and then the 05 and later on models, but these 99 - 04 models just didnt came to my country, so this makes them VERY FKING RARE. sadly makes me wanna cry.

Go with ford racing throwout bearing. I used one that came with a spec clutch and it blew into pieces in about 4,000 miles. It's a 2000 gt so had to try and hunt down a bell housing because the bearing guide shaft was damaged and on 99-2000 they were part of the bell housing. It's great when a $50 part ends up costing around $1000 . I've owned this car since 2003 so yep know these dang cars inside and out.. Great Video and I'll have to get a shirt from your store.

@@ghettomechanicllc3070 , oh so what is the name of the 05-07 mustang like the 99-04 is the new edge so whats the name of the 05-07 and I didn’t know it had more power than the new edge . I was told the new edge has mechanical issues except he told me the t45 is more reliable than the 3750 if correct transmission or engine . I heard the 05-09 was very reliable and you just have to do some mods to it .
@ghettomechanicllc30703 жыл бұрын
@@Mrsilva94 most people call the 05-09 the “3v” but technically its called the “s197”. Lemme simplify it for you, all 1994-2004 mustangs are known as “sn95” however since they gave them an edgier and more muscular body in 1999 those became known as the “new edge” so those are all mustangs 1999-2004. In 2005 they introduced the “s197” mustang with its retro design. All mustangs 2005-2014 are known as s197 mustangs BUT here’s where it gets tricky. All 2005-2010 mustangs are known as “3v” mustangs because their engines had 3 valves per cylinder. In 2010 Ford redesigned the s197 mustang with a facelift, but the engine was still a 4.6 3V. In 2011 Ford came out with the 5.0 liter coyote v8, so all mustangs 2011-2014 though they are still consider “s197” they arent 3v. Some people call the “5.0” or “coyote” or some just keep it simple and call them s197. The 1999-2004 mustangs had a 4.6 2v V8 which made about 260 horsepower at the crank, ford claimed the 3v mustangs made 300 hp but really it was more like 280. A stock 3v will always be faster than a stock new edge but overall they are very similar engines. My new edge never gave me any problems (most reliable car ive ever had) i’ve had a few minor issues with MY 3v but overall they are both pretty reliable cars. I love mustangs because they are fast, fun, affordable and fairly reliable considering they are sports cars (muscle car is a subset of sports car) people THINK and love to say Mustangs are unreliable because theyre made by Ford but they are actually very good cars.
@Mrsilva943 жыл бұрын
@@ghettomechanicllc3070 , this is dope how you have lots of knowledge about the stang . So my boy who had new edge stangs told me to stay away from the new edge smh saying that have problems. He told me I should get a 04-08 G35 Infiniti because supposedly they are more reliable than American cars I am not saying that I like the 3v or s197 I think they are dope and with some mods can look so dope and mean . Hey bro did you ever manage to fix your clutch rattle issue? I've had that exact issue since the day I bought my car early this year in March. The clutch actually went out the 1st week too so it was completely replaced. Well even after replacing my clutch and TOB it still made the noise. I did my research and heard what you had said about buying an aftermarket cable and clutch quadrant. So I went and got that installed. That helped the noise for a few weeks. It no longer rattled at red lights only on cold starts or randomly. However it ended up coming back about a month later. My car is damn near perfect besides that annoying rattle! I cannot get rid of it for the life of me. Ive taken it 4 different mechanics and they haven't been able to get rid of it. I'm embarrassed at stop lights and when starting my car. Please help lol

Resale value on this gen. Mustang so low cause so many produced no other reason. Stay away from the Pepboy mods. make it your own with $ upgrades

So he said, your intake manifold will probably go out. Your transmission is probably gonna go out (stick) and also the vehicle might leak water into the cheaply made interior of the vehicle. Shiit lol

A car video with the camera in some guys face. The content related to the topic doesn't even start until 3:34 and he starts with regular car maintenance stuff nothing special to this car.🙄
