Hef's birthday always seemed a gigantic deal, celebrated on a grand scale. He and Marston shared the same birthday! When he was born, I thought they would be celebrating together forever. A divorce wouldn't change that. In all of his birthday celebrations, I never heard him mention his son once. Did they celebrate together privately and just leave Marston out of the public celebrations?

When Holly talks about being able to be herself in Vegas because Hef isn't there to stop her from having too much fun all I can think is that it's hard enough for me to express emotions in a way that others understand without someone trying to stifle me. Hi Holly and Bridget, I am curious your thoughts on Kevin Burns taking ideas from the show The Newlyweds- Nick and Jessica. Their show aired from 2003-2005 and GND came after. I notice similarities in editing, and episodes. One example- Newlyweds had an episode with Kelly Slater and then GND had this. There is a cold open where Jessica finds a spider in the house, which reminds me of the cold open with Kendra and the bee. I was a fan of both shows and I think they are similar in the way they are light and fun, and you don’t notice the hidden issues in the relationship and underlying darkness until you go back and watch.

There is a KZbin channel called Poseidon entertainment. He shows footage of all the themed places you mention in the late 90s and early 2000”s. Loved the aesthetic of that time. All the heavy theming and show aesthetic. I think after child obesity became more of an issue, places moved away from heavy theming which was mostly targeted at children

I noticed when I was boondocking in Pahrump that I didn’t need to use flea or tick medicine. We talked about it a lot at the dog park! A million theories: not enough grass, ticks need certain trees, they were allergic to creosote, they couldn’t hide from birds, etc. I’m sure I could google it, but it’s more fun to imagine sometimes! Ignore the haters, sisters! Imagine getting that from thousands of grumpy dudes, but w/o the compliments. That was 5 yrs on facecrack for me, until I finally dumped it all. But *most* of us appreciate yr effort! It’s become my favorite crocheting background noise. If it helps: I’ve long said my super power is that I’ve never cared much what people think! I just feel sorry for the jagz for making such terrible causes; causes being thoughts, words, & deeds. I just try very hard not to make those sh*tty causes myself, for they always injure the actor more than the recipient. 😊
