It is SO surreal to hear this because I was at the mansion during this time. I remember what they did to Stacy (the low down part). I had stayed in the room with Stacy, and she was SO nice. But I was also put into "the recruiters" room and saw SO many things that would have had her booted, but I didn't know back then. I remember one night she had me follow her down to Hef's wine cellar where she stole a bottle of Dom Periogn. I also remember getting a Christmas card from you, Holly once I was back home. It meant so much to me💜🥺. Great episode!

🤔 Hef probably told Stacy she could *HAVE* a bottle of Dom *Perignon* ANYTIME she wanted one, as she clearly stood out among all, with a bubbly, and genuinely sweet personality, in addition to her striking, and natural, beauty. It’s odd she was *ever* criticized by anyone there, especially since she had previously only had photos taken at her place of work, which is a *LOT* different than actually literally participating in a physical “activities” with one, or multiple, people, and as for a maybe 2 week, or less, amount of time she spent at another job that wasn’t of her liking, and/or, preference, it’s odd that *anyone* there would feel to be in some sort of superior position to judge her, considering what the content was being watched on 2 screens upstairs in a bedroom, plus the other actual “physical activity” that was going on with multiple people, et cetera. Hef never judged her, and he liked her a lot, to say the least. Interesting video, and comments.

I worked for PB … before you guys came … I was at the house for a week & Tina was the “main” at the time… she was VERY not nice lol she scared me … now I understand what was going on … there was an open bedroom & she thought the few girls that were there ( we were there for work) that we were trying to get a spot. I wasn’t but man did she make it known that she was not cool with it . I do have a really funny story from that trip … but throughout the years I can’t say a bad word about any of it. I love that you girls are so honest & respectful of it. .. no matter what you girls were part of an iconic & important thing in pop culture…to speak about it the way you girls do… shows really great character & an appreciation for it. ❤

Holly, I remember being 17 years old watching The Girls Next Door and just adoring Bridget and Yourself. I remember thinking not only were you THE MOST beautiful woman Id ever seen but I thought you had this perfect life. I idolized you both so much Now I feel bad for not looking deeper into it and seeing that you really were not happy and it certainly was not this picturesque life. I remember hearing you were no longer with Hef, Holly and I thought to myself 'wow, i wonder what HE did' because to me it looked like you so obviously loved him and tried so very hard to make sure he knew that. I guess I thought what probably happened was you got sick of getting taken for granted and definitely deserved to have a ring on your finger after everything you did and put up with. Im glad you were strong enough to leave when you realized the relationship no longer served you. Im just sorry we are sitting here YEARS later and you still have to bare the scars. Much love and support always. Its great to see you accomplishing so much! You really are amazing

So interesting, listening to both of y’all’s perspectives. Bridget, I think it’s interesting that you brought up “the elephant in the room” being the question of why if everything was so awful you wanted to stay, but I think people just need to think of the power dynamic difference and the security that Hef was offering all of y’all. People underestimate how money and power can provide security and stability. And y’all we’re all 20 somethings, which is the biggest time of trying to figure that stuff out. Plus he was offering fun and different and unique experiences as well as exclusive access to places and things that you were otherwise never going to be exposed to. I think anybody if offered a chance would have probably made the same decision, especially knowing that in order for that situation to have even presented itself you already had to compromise yourself. The water is already muddied, might as well dive right in.

I knew Tina Jordan (from way back when we were strippers at Cheetahs in Vegas before she met Hef.) She revealed horrible stuff going on at the mansion way before I heard anyone else spilling the tea. I was shocked. I don't know how you all could stand it. Tina would say she had to "go to work" before any time she had to spend with Hef. It was an unpleasant chore. She got out of there and Holly became the main girlfriend. And she missed out on the TV show.

Just saw ep2 of the 2nd season Secrets of Playboy on A&E. Everything you and Bridget said about the mean girls rings so true. Isabella and Zoe were just there for the $ & 🎁 & were pissed & blaming you that they got less 🎁 after Tina left. They still don't seem to realize that Hef & Playboy were financially failing and couldn't afford to keep that up. Both just seem jealous of the work & exposure you both got with reality tv. Isabella even cried that you have a much bigger platform and use it to bully her. Hmm, she never mentioned that she did put out a book and did interviews speaking about you. You never even said her name. Only reason I know Isabella is one of the mean girls is because I saw an interview she did about her book and she was mean. Anywho, I know u said you didn't want to watch your episode in season 1 so I figured you may not watch season 2. Isabella & Zoe really only validated all you and Bridget have said. Kinda funny when Isabella was making fun of you for wanting marriage and a child with Hef as if he wud never want to marry you and have a kid. 🙄 Just glad Hef was shooting blanks and you got away. You deserve better. 😉

Hello Holly and Bridget❤❤ I remember when I first heard of you both and the show GND. I was 29 when the show aired but I didn't watch then. Not bc i didnt want too. As a woman I've had my share of abuse and trauma. Before this gets too deep long story short i was in a extremely controlling abusive relationship at that time. 2008 was finally free from it after 6 yrs and never looked back. Raised my son and lived had my share of my wild 30s, more trauma in between. Before this gets even more deep, the end result is I raised a good man my son now almost 28 I am 48. I am not trying to make this my tell all, but my gosh I know what it's like to be manipulated by others. By ones we think we can trust. In my experiences of abusive relationships, sadly I've had 3 in my yrs. 2 were physical and the one I mentioned in the beginning was controlling. But in my experiences of the abuse thru the years the attempts of few failed relationships ( me gravitating to anyone who acted like they cared) was something that took till now to know that I was lacking love for myself. Many ppl who have never experienced trauma and abuse can never understand why we stay or don't see it. But I understand that feeling. They gas light and manipulate always. They don't have to put hands on us . In my case they sometimes did. But the most empowering thing we do to overcome trauma is we love ourselves! We discover who we are. And we share our traumas. I just started watching girls next door last yr. Watched every episode. I then watched hollys world, also kendras show. I think the very first show I felt how genuine you both are❤ and now I am listening to your podcast. Just started April 10 2024! I started from the very first podcast and currently wrapping up season 1 episode 7 your burning questions going to start tomorrow episode 8 podcast of season 1 GND the pilot episode❤ Holly, I just purchased your book today down the rabbit hole.I can't wait to read it! Bridget. Please finish writing your book! You mentioned in the burning questions podcast and I hope you do finish and share with us ❤ I don't know if you ladies realize but you're literally living proof of what it's like to overcome the abuse and the traumas. You inspire the badass bitch in me xoxo💕 I'm sorry if this is a super long read.I don't even know if you ladies will get to read this but I but I appreciate your podcast and your honesty so much. Last thoughts of overcoming any traumas.... Just like the Phoenix we will rise from the ashes, Just like the butterfly that breaks free from its cocoon, Just like the lotus flower that blooms in the thick of the Mudd, We can take what we have and grow from it 💕

It’s called the curse of patriarchy- the belief a man is the source of a woman’s status, security. Women with no sense of self are always deceived by this. Sounds like he was a narcissist. Women, learn your worth without a man. If you make your own money, have a life you love, you would have run from his cruelties. Patriarchy always puts women against women.

The other video I watched about the bedroom, and seeing the trauma of the 1st time with Holly, I cried of sadness. Seeing this video also makes me feel, I wonder if any of these girls went thru child sexual abuse or anything super traumatic (maybe having an emotionally unavailable dad etc). I just wonder any traumas that were the origin of allowing themselves to be in this kind of experience. These girls seem so sweet. Watching this helps me reflect some of my traumas and toxic relationships and why I would stay so long.

The new season of secrets of playboy makes me uncomfortable - it seems like a rebranding and image rehabilitation for the playboy brand exercise. There is minimisation and glossing over of serious things. It is disrespectful to the brave women of series 1. It feels like sellout and regression, like so much in these strangetimes, but we know better, don't we. There will be no turning progress back for long. Keep speaking out and being real ❤❤

Her name was Jill Ann Spaulding and she was murdered by her ex-husband in 2017. She wrote a self published book about her short time with playboy. She was kind of a messed up individual and groomed by her much older boyfriend, who she eventually married, and who eventually murdered her, and then himself. The saddest thing about the whole situation was her desperation to be in the Playboy world.

@@mitchelleroberson to be fair it’s not very well written by, but basically collaborate a lot of what the other playboy ladies have said, about hef and his bedroom activities. Basically just confirms that many of the women that get pulled into the playboy world are either down and out, desperate, in a bad situation, or come from a bad childhood. Most well-adjusted women with resources do not resort to that life. That is not a judgement on the women at all. You do what you have to do to get by, but women who come from supportive backgrounds typically didn’t get caught up in that life

I can't believe i didnt know this podcast existed until recently ❤ playmates and ex girlfriends making stories and lies up to sabotage bridgets chances of ever getting plamate or a pictorial makes me so angry, grown ass women behaving like spoilt 15 year old high school girls is worse than a sad joke, its just pathetic
