You're definitely taking amazingly good care of her! Such sweet temperament and I love how you've had her groomed professionally since she was very young, such habits can be oh so beneficial both for the animal, the owner(s) and groomer. It's so much better for her to come to a groomer like you because you can give her breaks if she needs them, which not all pet groomers can do. She was such a good girl, and she's so sweet-natured.

This is what I love so much about this channel. Vanessa grooms each dog according to their limitations and their needs, much like a pet owner (with the right tools and experience) would do for their pet. She offers such a loving gift to these animals; to be cleaned up and taken care of as if they were her own.

When I think "family dog" this is certainly not what I picture. Much more likely to be a police dog, a guard dog at a works premises or anything of that sort rather than a "family dog".

As my family had GSD's for over a decade and went competing with them. A tip for getting a nice coat shine, crack an egg in the dry food. They love it and within a week the coat will be getting a healthy shine. And remember regular brushings :P Some people forget that.

I wish I lived closer so that I could bring my GSD. He's an 11-year-old retired police K-9 with severe mobility issues. My groomer can no long take care of him as he can't climb into the tub and she doesn't have a floor level shower.

Our old girl GSD had problems standing up with a wet coat. She still loved to swim but had a hard time walking out of the lake. We had a harness that we could help her stand until enough water dripped out of her coat. Her last summer was bitter-sweet. We miss her.

I want to add a 'Thank You' for doing senior dogs so wonderfully. I took our old Basset to a grooming salon in his final months thinking it would be a treat for him. It was not. I gave him meds for pain at the beginning but he must have waited for a while and needed to pee. He was bathed and dried, peed on the floor and then fell in it. Had to be washed again. Poor old guy. Seniors need special considerations, for sure.
