Why don’t you look on Vinted for a coat and scarf? Or your local charity/vintage shops? ☺️ It’s wild to me that people are paying so much for fast fashion acrylic scarves and coats that are essentially plastic and won’t do much to keep you warm when you can often get a cashmere wool blend coat for less than £50 second hand and the quality 🥰 once you wear a beautiful coat that was made even just 20 years ago the cheap garbage in Primark etc won’t cut it anymore! ♥️

To be fair I should look on vinted! Charity shops unfortunately aren’t that much cheaper these days! I went back to Tesco today though and it actually is 100% cashmere so not too bad after all - still wouldn’t pay it though 😂

@@TheSliceOfJess​​⁠The quality in charity shops continues to decline with the increase of people buying fast fashion they wear a few times then just get rid of 😢 Gems are definitely harder to find amongst the shein/zara 🗑️, you definitely have to enjoy the hunt and know what you are looking for fabrics wise. It’s a lot easier on Vinted to search by fabric it’s just unfortunate you can’t eliminate brands when you search! Even if vintage shops aren’t typically your usual style they are amazing places to find things like quality knits, coats and scarves. Imho £45 for a scarf isn’t bad if it’s ethically made but when it was made by a garment worker who is likely only paid pennies by a fast fashion brand who mark it up crazy amounts so they can profit massively its a hard pass from me! There are so many beautiful things that already exist in the world, people who don’t shop second hand are definitely missing out on having better quality items in their wardrobe and better more unique style!
